Off Topic: Paul and I had a long talk yesterday. We have come to the conclusion that, despite the threat of Covid-19, he needs to be in the hospital as he is now only able to swallow a few sips of water per day. I will be dialing 911 sometime today – I will be urging him to get dressed as soon as he wakes up, so we can do it sooner rather than later. I’ll also be leaving a message with our family doctor for her to call me so she can check on him and let me know how he is doing. I know the nursing staff will be too busy to do this on a regular basis. Now, I just have to let his mother know.

So much is out of our control these days. I function, but I notice subtle changes in the way I look at things and react. I think we would have to be robots if the situation the world is in didn’t effect us in some way. I can’t concentrate on my writing and shows that normally bring me joy are not televised or have changes.

I look forward to this group every day. What Ladykat is going through really got to me. Please take care and be safe. I wish I could hug each and every one of you.

I frequently annoy those who play Scrabble with me because I use perfectly good words from the Glossary of Geology and other technical terms, necessitating the presence of the OED and a copy of the Glossary of Geology. My copy, which is over forty years old, is slightly larger than most standard dictionaries.
