I heard that a lot of retired guys drinking beer on the golf course already figured out the answers to politics and religion.

We already HAVE a political party and religion rolled into one: The Republican* party is now a full blown religion with Trump as The Messiah.

Their dogma grows every time Trump lies.

My dear old man would have loved this strip today. Tomorrow is the second anniversary of his death. He really did enjoy his game of golf. :)

Maybe that’s what she wanted too. As my father’s mother said, “For better or worse, but not for lunch.” With his plan he would be around all day, interfering with her life, and her woman friends.

At least on the faith’s side, humanity’s record “proves” that we, by nature, will to seek meaning along with intellectually satisfying answers (which is a science thing).

The political party and religion rolled into one has already happened in america, it’s called trumpism, and it does involve a lot of golf.

Well since I never took up chasing that little ball around, I’ll just have to continue working on founding the Native American Party/Religion. My other primary effort of building my own little piece of Heaven on Earth is an example of what we can achieve with the proper perspective.

One of the things the American Founding Fathers all agreed upon is that religion shouldn’t dictate to government or vice versa. Many of the people who arrived in the US during that period, including mine, came to escape religious persecution. Some like the Pilgrims promptly started persecuting everyone else, and government pushed back against religion elsewhere. The struggle between the two has been a major part of the American history.

Trump was golfing while his brother died and the covid death toll reached 170,000.

Congrats for running this panel again from 10/9/16-that’s when I saw it first! And I still laugh my ass off! As a matter of fact I’ve been able to get it posted in both rest rooms at my local golf course-Wild Wings in Woodland, CA. My takes on golf, and I’m a very avid/rabid participant of the sport, even though I’m not very good(NCGA#26.5) are; “Golf is a combination dedication and sheer stupidity” and secondly; “No matter how good I may be doing, I’ll always find a way to muck it up”
