Bernice obviously hasn’t resolved to not split any infinitives.

You have to at least start – in order to finish. JK

One resolution already broken. Won’t be long before the rest of them follow…

“Pick one and work to actually achieve it." says the girl dithered for two months before actually going to see her brother…. Don’t take advice from someone who does follow their own advice.

You aren’t doing bad as things stand, now.

Consider. In 2020 you:

1) Helped a friend in need.

2) Didn’t get in a “bad” relationship.

3) Didn’t flunk out of school.

4) Didn’t get arrested.

5) Didn’t die.

And most importantly,

6) You apparently got RID of Tara.

All in All a good show. But if you MUST come up with a resolution, I’d suggest:

1) Stay the H3LL out of other people’s business.

2) Take a job at the Fuse.

3) Spend less time in your room.

4) Drink More COFFEE. ;)

Time to take your 2+ years of Community college credits and enroll in a Bachelor’s program.

I don’t know what she’s gonna donate. Not much more than a couple bucks, I don’t think, because we don’t even know if she still has that part time job. She could ask Frank to chip in, but he’d just pout. She could volunteer at the goldfish shelter, though.

Luann AND Bernice aim for the stars, problem is Luann lacks fuel to get past lift off(motivation). And Bernice is too busy being overly focused on the potential failures. She so afraid that she could screw up, that it prevents her from getting anything done.

Luann needs a “life coach”, but, in her case, the poor coach would just throw in the towel. And, Bernice, hopeless Bernice, could really use a “make over”, but I understand that Dr. Frankenstein is booked solid for months.

Touché, Bernice. She gave Luann the best of the advices. Really do at least one of her resolutions for once. Luann can walk with Jack ( and Bernice could join them). Learn how to meditate with Dez. She has a lot of possibilities ♡! I can’t wait to see what this year reserve to her ♡♡♡♡.

Tough love.

Sometime in the last third of the last century of the last millennium, I made a New Year’s Resolution to stop making New Year’s Resolutions. I’ve succeeded admirably.

And if she actually achieves one, she would be technically achieving two at the same time.

Best advice ever! If she completes it, she can move on to another goal/process.

Luann has no goals or ambitions for this year or any other year.

Or maybe resolve to find out whatever happened to Delta, Knute, and Aaron Hill!

This is getting boring. How about we have Les go rescue another kitten or something?

Why do they remain friends? Bernice is a real mature grown-up. Luann is still an immature teenager.

How about a New Years resolution to go visit Pru.

by 19 or 20 one should be able to conclude that lists of News Years resolutions are the place where good intentions go to die (mostly), especially the very long lists like the one Luann is making. A much better ritual is to sit down on Dec 31, look back and make a list of accomplishments for the year.

Luann’s face in panel 3 pretty much sums her up.

Luann is actually moving forward in life, in an hilarity ensues kind of way, which is her role in the strip by the way. I just don’t understand why her many trolls don’t or won’t see that. Won’t is the operative word I think. But helping to focus is good, she is all over the map, but how much you wanna bet she is going to focus? And will Bernice finally focus on what she needs so bad, in so many ways, while, I hasten to add, remaining the fiercely independent woman she is trying to grow into. A man who recognizes that, while helping that volcano in her to be satiated. There I said it!!

Too many people are having to make just one resolution…to survive.

When I was Luann’s age, I had no money to donate and no time to volunteer. That didn’t come until much later.
