With her snarl and clenched fingers, the Woman is certainly getting into the spirit of the game.

None of the cats do that slow-motion hiss-spit. However, Holly and Belle have started zoomies at bedtime, right when we are just falling asleep. They have done this for the last four nights. You are just about to drift off when two blurs, one black and the other tabby-colored, pass over your legs. Humph…cats!

Dad is still fighting and doing a little better. We are staying the course.

My cats never played this game of “cat and mouse who is just another cat”.

I use noise instead of a water bottle. Anything sudden, loud, and unpleasant breaks it right up.

Hey Guys!! A little story of a good cat:

I have been trying for a month to gain the confidence of an abandoned kitty in our neighborhood. Sweet little ginger that has been fixed. I finally got her trust and she allowed me to pet her after she ate. Next day I laid out treats and she came into the house. Alice (resident Queen of the house) came over to check out the new kitty. I was very afraid we would have a fight, but Alice started grooming the new kitty. I am now deciding on a name as Alice will not let me give the kitty up. I had a friend come over to talk about fostering and Alice hissed anytime my friend got near the kitty.

Any ideas on a name? She is orange and white with yellow eyes. Weighs about 6 lbs. and has short hair. Very loving and purrs a lot. Thanks

I feel The Woman’s pain — this morning O’Malley and Dodgerdog were having a game of chase. Alas, there was a casualty. My well-used & beloved Coca-cola glass and freshly poured iced coffee. Soon after clean-up they were both at the scene of the crime showing their best kitty sad/“I’m sowry” faces.

NyahNyahNyah mentioned yesterday finding Georgia referenced in he news on the Nat. Cartoonist Society home page. Exploring, I found they had interviewed her (Georgia) for one of the panel sessions on the 2020 Virtual Convention. I once picked up Wilamena the Radio Cat when she was in the middle of a “discussion” with another cat. She whacked me on the cheek with a claw-sheathed paw. I thought about the remarkable restraint that took, the price of facial reconstruction surgery and how embarrassed she must have been – before setting her back down to complete (non-violently) her unfinished business.

Still waiting for my BCN calendar, but my Tommy and Beatrix notebook arrived and it is very nice. The cover is beautiful and the paper is high quality, heavier weight with attractive college ruling. I plan to try to use it as a journal. Of course, I’ve tried to journal before and it never lasts long, but maybe Tommy and Beatrix will provide incentive this time.
