Delegating Authority isn’t really a way to Pass the Buck.
A Boss is always ultimately responsible for the things his Subordinates do or fail to do. If he delegates wisely, he will benefit. If he does it with poor judgment, he’ll be on the Street in no time.
I used to program and test the electronic funds transfer applications of a large bank. I told my boss that electronic funds transfer was just a more efficient way of passing the buck. (This has absolutely no connection to the fact that I’m not working there anymore. None, right, that’s the ticket…)
