Years ago, my parents used to own the smallest model of an Airstream trailer that they made and it was called a Bambi.

By the looks of the map, most Canadian immigrants to Seattle come from Ontario? The few Canadians I’ve met that immigrated to Washington where I’m from I think are from either British Columbia or Alberta. Also, I never lived in Seattle despite having the temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in said city as my GoComics profile picture.

In the context of the panel, it looks like those Canadians live more East of Seattle than South.

Up here in Edmonton we all look down on all you southerners (geographically speaking).

As to where the Canadian live, I don’t blame them.

The little owl must have a very specific diet. It is as small as most birds who come to our feeders. Not much else out there for it except insects. Most yard pests are as larger or larger.

Missed buying a used airstream back in the day and never got near the price of another one. Still kinda wished we had. But our Nimrod canvas-topped popup was great for camping and travel, and we spent lots of great years on the road. Nice that life offers alternatives to wishes that we can enjoy just as much.

So, Greenland is part of Canada now?

I’m just suggesting that Wally had a happy wife, which is always nice.

More people live within a 50 mile radius of Manhattan, NY, than in ALL of Canada.

That bit of trivia about “Most Canadians live south of Seattle” no longer holds true and is out-dated.

Though the statement may have once been true for this “central Canada region” defined by south western and eastern Ontario south of North Bay towards Ottawa, and the lower region of Quebec near to Montreal and Quebec City, i.e. having the greatest population density in Canada. NOTE: this thereby created an unfair political representation in parliament for those regions.

However, through the years, given the balancing in all those “central Canada” regions in particular, e.g. migration west for work, immigration (largely of refugees), mortality rate spikes and and birth rates increasing, it would appear that western Canada and its northern regions have experienced a much greater population expansion, especially in British Columbia and at one time, Alberta.

I would check your facts.(former south west Ontario, Montreal, Alberta and BC resident).

The area of Canada north of Seattle, and I’ve only seen a tiny, tiny part of it, is amazing! (I’m including from Calgary to beyond Whitehorse.)

All of South America is east of Key West. Reno NV is west of L.A. and San Diego.

You can also get to Canada by driving south. Detroit to Windsor.

Cool, but unfortunately NOT true. The Airstream company was not founded until 1931, with volume production beginning in the spring of 1932, though would not use the company name of Airstream until April 1934.

Wally Byam started home building trailers for his own use in the late 1920s, but that was not a business at that time.

The image is of the Torpedo Dr. Norman Holman built himself based upon plans purchased from Aitstream in 1935. It was supposedly not completed until 1937. Airstream called that trailer the oldestest existing Airstream after a search in the 1980s, but it is “home built”. Several factory built 1936 Airstreams do still exist.

Reminds me of the lyrics in a Bob Seger song were he mentions “South Detroit”. There is no S Detroit, that’s were Windsor, Canada is.

Serious comment of the day (from me): I did not know that about Canadians! That explains something that has always puzzled me: If they all live north of our northern states, then they must have some pretty short summers and cold winters. But now I know the majority actually do NOT live south of our northern most states (not counting Alaska of course.) Can’t say as I blame them.
