Two of the most famous People reporters in history lost it, on the most important stories of their respective careers. They both pulled themselves together and continued. Bea will get the hang of this as she goes along.
The one I remember the most was Walter Cronkite taking off his glasses mid-sentence and just barely avoiding breaking into sobs while announcing that President Kennedy had died.
I really love the colours and the detail of this one, reminds me of the watercolours of years gone by.
By the way, do Burt and Baba, the barn cats, have people who look after them and take them to the “Not to be Mentioned” for jabs? Or do they live a relatively independent, unsupervised life?
And who let that kitten out? Trevor and the bookstore lady are bound to be worried.

Should have known she was a reporter. Just look at the underworld contacts she has.

Old reporting days? You means on the radio? On the newsreels? Or maybe standing in a corner and screaming “Hear ye! Hear ye!”
Gent over 3 years ago
Aha. I knew it. All cats are mews reporters! And now, we’ll get a flashback of old Baba reporting the outbreak of the 1918 flu pandemic.

You’ll note how Georgia made a point of drawing how Bea came into the first scene…hopping/bounding in. It is so cute to watch a kitten move.
I have a feeling that Baba was a lot like Bea, when she was a kitten.

Queen Catshepsut the Golden: So you’re still looking for the scroll room?
Beatrixia: Yes. All we found was a room filled with gold and treasure.
The Queen: Well, put it with the rest of the gold and treasure for now. We’ll find a use for it later.
Elvis-Anum: Your Majesty, might the artists and artisans make use of some of the treasure?
The Queen: Excellent idea! And it happens that Iron Glove and Adobe Style are here from Afar. Serfig-Aro, please call them here.
Enter Sophititi, Maat-Tilda, Adobe Style, and Iron Glove
The Queen: Welcome, esteemed creatives. We have some gold and jewels for you to use in your artwork.
Maat-Tilda: Wonderful! I’ve always wanted to create ruby sandals!
Sophititi: And these will work beautifully with my found object sculptures. Too bad they haven’t invented refrigerators yet.
Beatrixia: We still need to find the scroll library. It may shed some light on whether King Catfre loved or listed the Great Pyramid.
Iron Glove: In Afar we have legends of a pyramid near the Local Oasis. But no one has found it.
Beatrixia: Let’s go exploring!

Cyndi Lauper: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
I asked Baba Mouse on a full moon lit night
“Baba I feel so overwhelmed now by life”
“Oh Beatrix dear, you’re not the only one.”
“And Kittens need to have fun.”
…….
I asked Baba Mouse if my dreams will take flight
And if everything will turn alright
“Yes Beatrix dear, you’ll have your day in the sun”
“And Kittens need to have fun.”
…….
Right now you really need some fun
When your working day is done
Kittens need to have fun!
Yes, Kittens need to have fun!
…….
Sometimes this old, crazy world
Can really have your head in a whirl,
When you need us you can count on everyone,
And Kittens need to have fun!
Yes, Kittens need to have fun!
…….
Right now you really need some fun
When your working day is done
Kittens need to have fun!
Yes, Kittens need to have fun!
…….
Yes, they need it!
Yes, they need it!
Yes Kittens need to have fun!
