If I ever have to explain a computer to someone from, say, colonial times, I’d start by listing a few examples they would know of X-ing machines. Then I would summarize a computer as a “thinking machine”.

Sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology.

You’re not alone Phoebe. Rain on your wedding day is not ironic, it’s just unfortunate.

The only reazon magic and science are considered different things is becauze one of them is real and one isn’t. If magic were real, it would be a branch of science and people would get grants from serious universities to study the long-term effects of luck potions or some shìt.

Magic is the mystical experience that happens whenever I climb onto my horse.

Is the song about irony bad because its about a bunch of stuff that isn’t actually ironic, or is it ironic because the song about irony only has one example of irony?

I can see why unicorns normally don’t interact with humans as regularly as Marigold does with Phoebe then—they pride themselves on their uniqueness to a fault, so any situation where that uniqueness would start to seem mundane instead is, of course, preferred to be avoided.

Irony – the expression of one’s meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.

Personally, I don’t think understanding something necessarily makes it any less magical. I don’t like rainbows any less because I know they’re the result of light being refracted by water droplets. If anything, I think the idea that something so simple can create something beautiful and impressive is really magic!
