I admit I still have a lot of childlike desires in my early 60s, but I’d prefer not to get my feet wet by stomping puddles

Who knew Peter Pan was a granddad? (Robin Williams played him as a dad though at first he —Peter— forgot his childhood identity.)

Growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional.

It was pouring down rain. My front sidewalk was two inches deep with water. I decided to stomp and dance to the street. When I got there, I sw my neighbor across the street giving me a funny look. I shrugged my shoulders, turned, and splashed back to the house.

Growing up also means to get rid of unreasonable fears…I never stomped in water puddles – ya never know how deep they are and you may drown or be swallowed by sharks and whales that could live within…Uck!

I do not think that there is any chance of that idiot growing up.

Part of me is 5 years old & part is 5 million….

I think the body grew up but the mind is lacking!

I’ve met grown ups, they don’t seem to have much fun.

Bad news everyone. We have to grow up now that Toys-R-Us went bankrupt.

i always tell people i am older than i act

By age 2 or 3 I taught both my kids how to jump in puddles. Earl’s got it right here. Two feet together, hard stomp down right in the middle. If you do it right you don’t even get that wet. Your nearby friends, not so much…

You can be as old as you act and as young as you feel. I just can’t believe how many years have suddenly passed. Thankfully, I don’t feel all those years.

I’m 61. I may grow old but I refuse to grow up. I have two kids an my wife has three including the one she married.

In the 4th panel, Nelson should be drenched.

Wet grass. Cool and slippery, yum!

Saw a raven stomping around and around in a puddle. Looked like it was trying to splash as much water as possible. Didn’t know birds could act like little kids.

Oh, how true. But nowadays you’ll likely end up on Youtube doing that.

Growing up has never been a problem, but growing older certainly has it’s ups and downs.

Is there something wrong with me? I have never wanted to jump into a puddle, even when I was Nelson’s age.

Good for you, Kenny!! Enjoy life!! You certainly didn’t hurt anyone and you had a good time!!
