I (re)post stuff on FaceBrick. Generally, I consider it a success if 10 people like or comment, and a roaring success if it’s 50. And that’s fine: When was the last time you did something that was a roaring success? I manage it several … well, maybe “a few”… times a year.
This is silly. Not the toon but the responses. I have few, probably less than 20, on FB. Friends, only people I know and wish to communicate with IRL. No followers and I follow no one. I care what they think, less so for reposts, and myself offer up the odd rare thing I find clever, funny or interesting. Preferably original.Gocomics is a different story. People I don’t know but if succeed in those without pandering, great but i can live without as long as I’m true to myself.
Anyone paying any attention to the reality of Facebook, and ALL of “social media” for that matter, has long been aware of just how pernicious all of it is. In short and as I’ve often said, social media is a “social disease.” It’s a disease which has many people experiencing tertiary, sometimes terminal, symptoms, and it’s adversely affected us all. Delete your account.
‘There once will be a time when facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and all other forms of social media will all die.’And the wise ass on the hill was flushed away by a gigantic shitwave. The site where he lived is now a bottomless crater.
I have never made a comment here that got anywhere close to 50 likes. And as of 9:45 AM Eastern, the most earned by another commentor here today is 19…
I got permabanned from Twitter for upsetting some donnydrones, then I self-pwned myself by accidentally clicking “no this is not me” on my phone when I tried to use my laptop. Oh well I guess.

There’s a solution: do not post anything so as not to be disappointed.

The funniest part of this is that Rat thinks anyone wants to see photos of him.

So you’ll feel worthless even if the Facebook posts get 49 Likes?

Love it! Wise As is tuned in.
Hey, once I got about 60 likes on GoComics- does that rate?

I have over 900 “friends” and 122 followers on FB. I think it’s a big hit if I get 20 likes on my pictures.

What does the “Wise Ass” know about social media anyway being on top of that mountain all the time and all? ;D

Actually Wise Ass on the Hill was being very helpful, if Rat could see the full picture!!!

Have a kid. My nice pics of nature? 12-20 likes (50 if my cover or profile pic). Pics of my kid being cute? 125 within an hour.

Rat needs everyone to love him or else he’ll have nothing to live for.

What Rat needs is more friends. More Facebook friends = more Facebook likes.
txmystic about 3 years ago
Ya know, if one doesn’t open an instagram account, numbers of likes is meaningless, freeing one to pursue happiness in more healthy ways…
…I better get more than 50 likes on this comment…

I often give likes because I feel that I am contributing to the self-worth of the person that posts the content.
