I always wonder the creative process behind these. Do you work backwards from the intended pun, or do these things just come to mind? Because it’s like three levels deep of pun
I love this!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I watched a Flintstones Christmas on Christmas Day last year. First time I saw it in years when they use to air on Cartoon Network back in the day. It was great watching it again. Brought back so many memories
Seems like a high regard for Pastis’ pins in the comments. When I see one coming (& they are never a surprise) my reaction is something like “So much tedium for such a small reward.”
Well I didn’t see it coming because when I was a teenager, some girls used lemon Jello as a setting lotion, so Mountain Dew made sense to me. Yeah—-things were weird in the 60s :)

I see that Pastis was taken in by Nike. But he really didn’t HAVE to Just Dew It.

Mountain Dew is twenty years older than The Flintstones. Fred himself must’ve been using it in his hair for years.

It wouldn’t work here across the pond as we pronounce the word “dew” correctly – “dyew”. “Aloominum”. Pfsht. Bloody colonists.

I’m so old, I remember when the Rubbles adopted Bamm-Bamm. It actually seemed like a significant event to a five-year-old.

I’m sitting here in disbelief, my hand covering my mouth. Will take some time to recover. I knew a pun was coming but I couldn’t put it all together.
