We, here, have a number of presenters who talk about ‘The Listener’ – assuming that that’s about all who could possibly be listening to them. Of course, it turns out that there are some hundreds, or even thousands of listeners, so it’s really a way of “fishing for compliments”. Not something our Wiley needs to worry about, thankfully. He’s positively international!!
It’s not the volume of the radio but the value of the content that counts, but none of it matters if nobody is listening. Still, you have to start somewhere.

Is it a coincidence that his name is one letter away from Joe Pyne’s?
And am I the only one who remembers Joe Pyne?

At least his small audience appears to be loyal.

I worked at a low-power, small-town radio station, and that’s about how many listeners we had.

Joe needs to podcast about some weird murder or Alt-Reich conspiracies and then his audience will grow.

PODCAST?? Does anyone listen to those things?
I’ve been known to sit in the shed and mumble and grumble to myself, could I make a podcast from that?
‘’Right from Redd’s Shed, it’s the Redd Panda Grumble Hour!’’ I like it!

I’d make a snarky comment, but I don’t want to Pyle on.

As he is tending to being a kind of modern newsie, gotta wonder if one of his distant ancestors might have been the great Ernie Pyle of WWII fame.

He might get higher ratings if he did a show on say, day old pizza

You cannot be a successful podcaster unless you enjoy talking to yourself. While there are good podcasts …

The kid called “Podcast” in Ghostbusters: After Life had just one. And it turned out to be Ray Stanz.
