Finishing off the segment on the Cinnamon Knight, it looks like we might see David again in the future as a police officer, providing he passes his Physical Abilities Test test (PAT test is kind of redundant).

he trades ups on being a superhero to be a police officer?… just a different form of danger for him… what about him retiring from the superhero life because of his future child?… the career decision makes no sense…

I thought the whole reason he got out of the costumed vigilante business was because his wife was having a baby and it was too dangerous. So now he wants to become a cop???

Will tomorrow be closure on Memory or a sudden jump to new adventures ?

So, in his recommendation, how did Tracy say he knew David, & would make a fine candidate for the police force? “I’ve known & worked with David for years, in his other identity as the masked vigilante known as the Cinnamon Knight…”

The Mr. Memory storyline was too much short.

Better benefits…btw, after the Broadway bates story, didn’t he state that he was going to the police academy? I believe that he did

I would like a real closure to the “Memory arc” and wonder what will happen to Walter the owl ?

My bet is that Walter goes to a nature conservancy focused on birds…

If memory (no pun intended) serves me right, the last civilian to join the police department was the former convict, Groovy Grove.

Lizz “starting at the top” when she was introduced in 1955 wasprobably quite unrealistic.

Lee Ebony probably went through years of grunt work before she finally got noticed by the big shots.

I don’t know if I can get used to seeing Dick Tracy without a suit.

Try re-reading the 1958 “Robinson Crusoe” arc.He had no use for a suit then.

Jogging with David, the “retired” Cinnamon Knight, allows Tracy to comment on David’s turn to the official side of crimefighting and give some direction to that bit of storyline. But there are so many other, more important unresolved issues in the Mr. Memory story! I would hope to see some of them dealt with, but I’m not holding my breath….

Most likely, we will be hastened on to the next arc….
