Finishing off the segment on the Cinnamon Knight, it looks like we might see David again in the future as a police officer, providing he passes his Physical Abilities Test test (PAT test is kind of redundant).
he trades ups on being a superhero to be a police officer?… just a different form of danger for him… what about him retiring from the superhero life because of his future child?… the career decision makes no sense…
I thought the whole reason he got out of the costumed vigilante business was because his wife was having a baby and it was too dangerous. So now he wants to become a cop???
So, in his recommendation, how did Tracy say he knew David, & would make a fine candidate for the police force? “I’ve known & worked with David for years, in his other identity as the masked vigilante known as the Cinnamon Knight…”
“Now, you’ll have just ONE duty. You’ll trail us around on all our cases and ‘pat’ Sam down for ‘borrowed’ evidence. You’ll also be issued some special tactical gear. R&D is working on some special vibranium scissors so that you can use to covertly cut the bottoms out of his pockets. It’ll be a real hoot. PLUS, you can always follow the trail he’ll leave to find us if we get too far ahead!”
Jogging with David, the “retired” Cinnamon Knight, allows Tracy to comment on David’s turn to the official side of crimefighting and give some direction to that bit of storyline. But there are so many other, more important unresolved issues in the Mr. Memory story! I would hope to see some of them dealt with, but I’m not holding my breath….
Most likely, we will be hastened on to the next arc….

Waving to people who are behind you is a bit awkward, but it’s a reasonable try by Shelley.

CK er “David” makes Tracy look pretty scrawny.

Who jogs in a yellow sweatpants???
“David” is being very disrespectful by calling Dickieboy Tracy. He hasn’t earned that right.

I would like a real closure to the “Memory arc” and wonder what will happen to Walter the owl ?
My bet is that Walter goes to a nature conservancy focused on birds…

If memory (no pun intended) serves me right, the last civilian to join the police department was the former convict, Groovy Grove.

1-DAVID: Nice package, Tracy.
DT: Thank you. Why don’t you speed up a little so I can check out those Cinnamon Buns…
2-…Nice. Tighter than the head on Buddy Rich’s favorite snare drum!
3-DT: Same time tomorrow? DAVID: You bet. Maybe we can get in three blocks!
DT: Nah. Don’t wanna pit out my only non-yellow T-Shirt.

Lizz “starting at the top” when she was introduced in 1955 wasprobably quite unrealistic.
Lee Ebony probably went through years of grunt work before she finally got noticed by the big shots.

I don’t know if I can get used to seeing Dick Tracy without a suit.

Try re-reading the 1958 “Robinson Crusoe” arc.He had no use for a suit then.
