It seems that Ro-Zan genuinely has romantic intentions for Mysta — or at least he does a good acting job of pretending to. I predict that Mysta will never be cooperative in helping him to his ends.

We are deeply in soap territory, love the dramatic shading.

LOVE THIS! We haven’t seen romance like this since Sparkle and Vera, but this is taking it to the next level. lol.

Not what I tune in for, although it should make for an interesting Sunday kiddie recap!

My mind flashed back to the first time I saw a comic strip with an unmarried couple in bed together – Joanie and Rick in Doonesbury, right after the November 1976 election.

well, THIS is unexpected… I never imagined that Mysta would do the ‘bed-down’ with Ro… I’m just speechless, at the moment and need time to process this… and this is the first time that an installment of THIS sort has been done here… history in the making here…

I thought I’d been reading right along, but the fact that their relationship has progressed this far makes me think either I’ve missed a day or two, or that the fine crafters of this strip let some plot developments occur off camera, so to speak.

Ro-Zan knows what could happen…their potential romance or the invasion? He is probably the I can have my cake and eat it too kind of guy.

Interesting that Lunarians’ sexual practices match our own modern day ones. I don’t think Mysta is apologizing for the sex. She’s already dressed, however. By the conversation, Ro-Zan has made an offer and she has already turned his offer down. The offer seems to have something to do with the outside world and Mysta doesn’t want to take him up on it.

With her help, “it” could happen. I think he’s just trying to use her to reach his conquistadorial goals. Maybe he has some genuine desire to have her by his side in the process, but I think this is setting him up for a hard decision if his proposal revealed to Mysta his plan to conquer Earth. If she doesn’t take him up on it, he can’t exactly let her go off and tell her Earther friends what his plans are. If he “silences” her, he’s got to make his Pinky and the Brain move pretty quickly before he’s stopped because someone is going to wonder what happened to Mysta is in the next day. Maybe his proposal was a false one designed to get Mysta to open the door for his small army of bug-zappers to emerge and enact their true plan. I don’t know. There are a lot of possible plot directions here.

Despite this yarn’s plodding pace, I think we could have spared one day (or even one panel) sometime over the past two weeks to show Mysta’s growing attraction to Un-Zip. As it is, it looks like she fell into his arms at the drop of a double-entendre….

1-MYSTA: I’m sorry, Bro-Zan but 3 times is all I can manage.

BRO-ZAN: Maybe you’re still tired from the trip…

2-…I got some energy drinks in the fridge. Maybe that would help.

MYSTA: It’s not that. I just never go more than 3 rounds with someone I don’t find very appealing…

Wow! We were this close to an R-rated strip today. Rather circumspect adult-themed conversation between Mysta and Ro-Zan. But he has a ulterior motive. Will he pitch it openly? Will Mysta waiver, for the sake of “love” (or infatuation)? Does the Fate of Earth hang on this torrid fling? Jeepers, Crime Stoppers!
