You’re too young to remember, kid, but when they tried to strike in the ‘80s, Reagan fired everybody in weather control and it’s been a mess ever since.

I’m in no rush for snow.

I live in the Great White North and today the temp is going up to 20°C (that’s 68°F for those of you below the 49th parallel). October and November have been unseasonably warm so far. I’m not a winter person and as far as I’m concerned it can snow on Christmas eve and be gone on Boxing Day.

This could have been written today, except there is little snow in central VA most years, and it’s rare in November

Calvin wants things HIS WAY! Hope when it snows, he’ll be satisfied and build a snowman ! ☺️

While I do agree with Calvin, I’m glad it is holding off for one more day. It is going to be 70 in the stands this afternoon for the Bengals game. And we know who Hobbs is going to be rooting for.

Blame it on the “Millennials”, nothing like some good ol’ fashion generation-on-generation crime to salve the emotions of not being able to accept change.

Mother Nature doesn’t care how loud you are and neither does the Universe, however the hot cocoa will be just as delicious regardless, so there’s that.

It seems to me that accountability can be assigned sometimes (It’s called “blame” in my story). Perhaps you could write a strongly worded letter to the Weather Channel with your complaints. …par for the course, that.

And this strip is from 1992. We’ve had 70 degree days here lately, on the Southcoast of Massachusetts, feels wrong somehow. On the up side, the heat is off.

For a month and still counting days…We have orange cones just sitting and causing traffic constriction and nothings happening….waiting….waiting…

“Brown Season” is the pits

Cal is right about November. Around here, the leaves are down. We are enjoying Indian Summer but that’s about to end. Now it’s the waiting game. When will the cold come? When will the first real snow fall? When will the permanent snow come?

I’ve always liked November, when you can admire the filagree of branches against the bright sky. The quiet suspense of dark trees, white sky, sleeping ground. One day, someday soon, it will all turn white.

Hey! You folks up north have stolen our weather! My car here in the Southern Arizona desert was already coated with frost this week.

Where I am, the snow sometimes doesn’t even start until January! (Valentine’s Day has pretty much replaced Christmas as our wintertime holiday here.)
