Why is Les coming along??

He was on the job and it’s not his concern. This is not going to go well.

The management at The Fuse is going to be upset.

The Fuse must have enough staff so that the absence of two workers is not noticed, in the presence of the boss.

There’s no need to fear. Dumb and dumber are here!

Les cares as well, Ox is the adult here.

I wonder if they will find someone else in the house. I bet not judging from the break in the window. When my neighbor’s home was entered through a broken window, the intruder smashed the glass so they could crawl in without getting cut. I noticed that there is a sharp, large piece jutting upwards. I don’t think anyone would enter over that.

At least now Les is concerned. Big improvement over yesterday.

As predicted, Les IS tagging along.

I fear that in the future, We are going to be treated to a variation of the “rivalry” that was forming between Gunther and Les for Tiffany’s affection back in 2017. Only THIS time, it’ll be Ox Vs Les over Tiffany.

It kinda makes a strange kind of sense. All three work at the Fuse, so there are all kinds of opportunities for conflict. Particularly if Tiffany is no longer attending Mooney U while recuperating.

The eye-opening thing is the Manse is only a mile away from the Fuse. You’d think that the McMansions would be much further away from areas zoned for business. Oh well.

NOW.

Where are those “folks” that just the other day, swore that Les “wasn’t going to get involved?” ;-)

Les have a secret crush on Tiff?

Let’s hope they get there in time, and don’t cause harm to anyone else while trying to get there…

Uh-oh, Les. Dirty dishes are gonna pile up and who will wash them for the new people coming in? Three Fuse employees are absent. Les, Ox and Tiff. Wonder if someone will call the DeGroots? Or TJ?

I think Les is concern but does want to show it.

More comedy? Tiffany is laying dead or dying and Greg is giving us “Mutt and Jeff” comedy. This is misdirection most cruel, Tragedy ensures.

All this and we still do not know yet why the window was broken.

Ox is looking a little annoyed. Wonder why?

Let Ox drive while you call 911 Les.

If I remember correctly, Tiff locked the door after dismissing Ox. They might just need Les for some of his more dubious abilities to be able to save the damsel in distress.

Huh. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Les be so genuinely concerned for someone else’s well-being…

Oxford is capable of driving to the Farrell Mansion. But do they know security code to the 1st floor Security system?

Has Leslie Knox “cased” the Farrell Mansion for security shortcomings? Maybe Mr Knox broke the window?

Now this is the team that needs its own spinoff strip.

Les really, really wants to be the “white knight” here…

Here comes the cavalry! (Such as it is….)

HOORAY! The Dynamic Duo goes to the rescue! Tiffany has probably lost consciousness, that’s bad! Less now looks even more worried than Ox and very agitated. I’m afraid being this nervous could be a problem, but I’m sure they’ll be able to help her. Or, at least, to understand that they will have to call the firefighters when no one will answer them and they will not be able to enter in the mansion.

It’s amazing how hard some seem to need to crunch the story to fit their predispositions on the characters and story. Les cares about Tiffany’s welfare, as does Ox. So they both go. Hilarity ensues. It’s sweet,not stupid, but following the story might reveal the mildly ironic humor here. Still waiting to see how Tiff is, and will it change her venue.

I think Les has been watching too many cop shows on TV!!

Hey! Who knows? Perhaps Les learned first aid at the reformatory.

Les’ comment in the final panel is the funniest thing I’ve seen in Luann in a VERY long time.

I suggested the other day that Ox would need to boost Les up to that broken window to get in the house. Let’s see if that happens. I think both of these boys have a crush on Tiffany!

I like Les. IMO he is the most interesting, conflicted character in the strip. And he has a very cute cat!

Is Les that excited about ditching work or is he ensuring someone’s tracks are covered.

Nice of Les to care so much about his friend.

Why is Les coming along? It not like Ox would need him. Ox is perfectly capable of rendering what immediate care Tiffany needs, and, calling 9-1-1. Of course, we know what part of Les’ anatomy he probably thinking with. (Well his brain is working with it, thinking how Tiffany might be grateful for the help.)

Ox has a good level head on his shoulders, and Les is now in full-on panic mode. Reminds me a little of my grandfather. When my uncle was a teen, the police once called. My grandmother took the call. My grandfather heard her say that the police were helping him after he’d had trouble with his car. My grandfather was out the door and driving around the city looking for him before she could say anything more, searching far and wide, desperate to help, certain he was wrapped around a tree somewhere. The truth was he’d just had a flat tire, the police had helped him change it, and had offered to call his parents to explain why he’d be late coming home. Unfortunately, this was before cell phones, so they had no way to catch grandpa and explain that he’d gotten entirely the wrong idea. ;-) My uncle got home long before grandpa finally gave up searching.

Meanwhile the business burns to the ground because Les forgot to turn off the stove.

Don’t forget Les and Tiffany were almost stepbrother and stepsister.

Hopefully, Ox isn’t listening to the navigator.

The last panel made me chuckle. Les is panicking. His hard facade cracked. Hope they don’t crash before they get there.

So he say gun it……..bicycle?

Looks like Les is having a compassionate moment…

What are they going to do when they get there? Break down the door?

Whatever else you read into this strip… I think it’s nice that two people care about Tiff, are willing to leave their jobs to go help her, and are running to her aid.

Can’t say that about the women in the dorm! Finally. Someone (s) care(s) about Tiff! Heartwarming!

Tomorrow: Can’t this car go faster? I don’t know?Friday: Boy there’s a lot of traffic!Saturday: How can you be out of gas?Sunday: Hey look, we’re on a picnic.Monday: I told you to turn left!Etc.

It would really harsh my vibe if their entry to the mansion was skipped altogether.

As we all know,Les doesn’t do “heavy lifting”.

Obviously, Tiffany isn’t going to die, but is this the start of a long term storyline with her recovery?

Despite those who say Les doesn’t care about Steff he wants to help and note he didn’t take off his apron so he jumped right in.

.. and I sincerely doubt the management at the Fuse would be upset that he went with Ox to help Steff. Two are better than one in an emergency.

Those of you who don’t subscribe to the Luannfan newsletter ( link below) missed an admission by Greg about that broken window and whether someone ( or something ) came in the house!

Remember who ownes the Fuse. They will be happy that Ox and Les took the initiative to go to Tiff. The are CONCERNED.

The real question is how long after Ox knocks down the door before the police arrive.

Someone cue up the “A-Team” theme!

I like the determined look on Ox’s face. He also seems calm under stress, unlike his tag a long sidekick.

So far, things are going as predicted. Now we’ll see whether Ox uses his strength to bust down the door, or Les demonstrates how well he can pick a lock.

Remember when Tiffany was facing Ann Eiffel for the fake lingerie? Ann had taken her phone, but Les stole it back. He has the skills of a thief, but for Tiffany, he’ll use them in a good way.

This should be a solo mission, Ox. Les will make a screen door on a submarine seem practical.

Stuff it, Leslie, you walking, talking (way too much!) disaster. This mission was Oxford’s alone!

I don’t like this series of strips. As far as we can tell, Tiffany is badly hurt, and the Evanses have strips showing Les hampering things while trying to get to Tiffany faster, while Ox is doing his best to get to the mansion in the fastest route he knows. Get to the mansion already.
