Reminds me of an old Looney Toons cartoon where Bugs and Yosemite Sam were campaigning to be the new city mayor….only to lose the “dark horse” as the new “mare.”Didn’t get it as a kid, but it was funny then and funnier now.

Somewhat surprised that a cartoonist from San Francisco would present such a monochrome lineup of mayors.

Not that hard. Just contribute to their campaigns, give them expensive gifts, and keep a couple of good secrets in a safe. They’ll do whatever you want them to do.
