Lizz is looking completely unrecognizable from the way she used to look years ago… she’s completely abandoned the heavy eye shadow from years past… I miss that look…
I hope Lee & Blaze’s first date goes better than some other first dates in the strip, like the time Groovy & Liz went on a first date and a parachutist, an undercover narcotics agent, I seem to recall, who’s cord had been cut, landed on the roof of their car.
This may just signal the end of me reading this strip…making straight characters gay is lazy, uninspired writing and shows nothing more than a total lack of creativity and originality…congratulations to the “not so creative team” for finally hitting rock bottom…truthfully, I’m surprised that it took this long
The heavy dinner date could be a discussion about Blaze infiltrating Art Dekko’s inner circle if he has one. Yet from what I have seen at this point, Tracy and Sam seem to be doing the leg work on this case. Are Lee and Liz aware of what is going on?
In my Long Island backyard, police raided an unoccupied warehouse and discovered a fortune in stolen catalyticconverters. Some containing elements that coould be soldfor as much as $12,000.00 an ounce.
Police also seized close to 4 million dollars in cash.
No word yet if any of the converters belong to Ray Toler.
My Real Life Police story for what it’s worth. I had a number of friends on the force due to my then-job at Pizza Hut. One day after work, they offered me a ride home. I momentarily forgot they had a shared, odd sense of humor. So there I was, in the back seat of patrol car that was sedately driving through the city with the light bar running and the siren on and off.

Good morning™, pizza lovers!
“A heavy dinner date”? I wonder who that could be. The use of the word “date” hints more strongly that there is a romantic relationship developing.

Lizz looks poorly drawn in panel one.
Sorry in advance to all of the Shelley groupies out there!

You go out for coffee in the afternoon and that night it’s a “heavy date”?That was fast!!
Either Lee is one lonely lady or there’s something special in that cafe’s Tracyville coffee!

WOW! Adventure, excitement, action, the type of things we like about Dick Tracy! (So where are they?)

1-LIZZ: ‘Sup LEE: Lookin’ for a date.
2-LIZZ: So no unsolved crimes or murders? This is such a safe town! I sometimes feel bad accepting my paycheck! Say – have you tried E-Harmony?
3-LEE: I kind of like the bad boys so I’m shopping the Single Felons website.
LIZZ: Do you really believe they’re single? Their lying scum after all.
LEE: That’s part of the excitement! I’m most into the ones suspected of killing their former girl friends!
Lee shivers with delight at the thought

In New York City,a massive fire at a police evidence warehouse in Brooklyn wiped out decades of DNA evidence.
Also the main repository for seized vehicles—includingmany E-bikes and vehicles.Hints that the fire began with an overcharged….LITHIUM…battery.

Art Dekko is furious.
He went outside wearing a green necktie and all the neighborhood kids thought he was “Santa’s Elf”.

sounds like the strip is winding down for Christmas – crimes to continue next year.

Does “date” mean Blaze Rise, Lee? And does “date” likewise mean lesbian action? Let us not jump to conclusions. Let the plot play out.
I would like to see some Crime and Punishment action; that’s supposedly why Dick Tracy is here….
Shelley is working hard, and mostly successfully, to keep the art fresh and engaging. The style seems “cleaner” at present….

Lizz is unrecognizable. Great art, totally different character, quite quickly in fact.
