my girl Sara is partial to trying to get into an empty soda 12 pack. she gets her head in and about up to her midsection. then she goes sliding around the house in it like a kitty sled. a blind kitty sled! as a baby, 6 months or so, she preferred getting into tissues boxes .she got in, just.

Tommy, you can’t fall asleep now. There’s too much news to report.

They are buying the apartment in the Big Pink House so I’m guessing Tommy and family are still in their rental.

Cat Heaven – boxes galore. No box is too small for King. It doesn’t matter if body parts hang over, it belongs to him. He gradually stretches the box to make it fit. By now everything is in except his head and that rests on the edge.

Tommy’s the box king and he’s coming to rule!

How do those boxes pay the rent?

Why bother with expensive beds when cats will always choose boxes?

Boxes and cats are such a great fit. Looking forward to the move and new stories the gang will discover and make!

Initially I read the last panel as ‘sneeze’ which made me giggle. Tommy must believe he’s still a kitten to get into that box.

Tommy’s Woman has a very interesting way of labeling her boxes. Geometic shapes and interesting designs! What do they all mean??!

I used to buy my printer paper in half reams. They’d come four packages to a box and Loaner Cat would flip the lid off the box and use it as a sled of sorts with her front paws in it and pushing it around the house. Now she’s become strictly a lap cat after all these years. Something she never did, but maybe after 18 years, her old bones like the warmth now more than the box lid. Who knows?

That’s a lot of cat traps!

I have several boxes floating around that Smudge and Mouse like to sleep in. Smudge actually judges me from one.

We’ve reached the point of having to remove empty boxes because we couldn’t walk around part of the house due to the clutter. Luckily Medb and Loki didn’t miss the disappeared boxes and we kept several per floor so they’re not deprived.

I seem to recall a photo of him trying this IRL.

Tommy’s rear left leg hanging out amidst all that luscious, quivering floof has sent my cute-meter through the roof!

It doesn’t matter, Tommy. Whichever box you snooze in will inevitably be the one your People want to use next.

After ordering the necessary components to build a new computer, I had a plethora of boxes haphazardly stacked in my living room, and yet my girl Jez showed no interest in climbing into any of them.

I think my cat is broken.

Tommy is taking a trip to Napville, City of Dreams. He’ll wander through the complex, every shifting landscape to find that perfect box: Will he it be on Blanket Blvd? Linen Lane? REM Road? Snooze Street? Let’s hope doesn’t get lost on Apnea Avenue …

Ah yes, the Kitty-Kat-Kondo is finally open.

Tommy, snooze in this one and then that one and then the other one over there …

Tommy! Part of the joy of this storyline, especially now things are finally moving (pun unintended) forward, is to see more of him and Sophie since it’s been a year (Less for me since I binged the strip but still) since they last got a full storyline (Though Tommy’s shown up plenty during this arc. ). I also get the feeling as i’ve been predicting that only tommy is going to be excited about this, both boxopolis and the fact he’s moving

I don’t begrudge him both because he’s a fluffy ball of sunshine… and because I get his perspective: he’s , if he’s aware of it, going to be moving next door to his best friends and make new friends. To Sophie while she likes most of them, it’s moving away from her comfy art studio to a bizzare new place next to two children, two cat children (One who just spent a full sunday scooting on rugs and the other who while not normaly mischevious is being taught by the best), and Lupin, all above her.

Off Topic: Sad NewsMy cat Stewie, 17 years young, passed yesterday. He went out saturday afternoon, never came back, and we found his body. Thankfully he simply just laid down in the side yard, passing peacefully but it’s still… it’s still been hard and probably will be for some time. Thank you.

A whole city just for napping? Sign me up!

We haven’t had a box cat for 20 years. The last 3 just chew on them. We’ve tried putting cat treats in the boxes. Only a basket of warm laundry works.
