Muriel said the same thing on COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG. “You know I can’t hear you without my glasses, Courage.”
Also, if I can shamelessly plug my friend Kevin Magpoc’s old webcomic, he also did a similar colander/calendar joke many ages and moons ago.http://idget.comicgenesis.com/d/20040110.html
The important thing is that they are still able to have fun and laugh together. Frank is always the one to joke around and it’s really nice that he’s still like that for them.
Luann has to be adopted. She has reddish/orange hair. Both her parents and brother have black hair. I understand recessives, but this should be biologically impossible. Just saying.
I can’t hear people when I close my eyes. As I gradually lost my hearing, I learned to read lips- without even realizing that I was doing it, until I noticed that when I closed my eyes or looked away from them, people started mumbling.
Frank and Nancy have aged well, and I’m glad to see that neither have a a weight problem, as too many middle aged people seem to get. This covers a span of what, probably 25 to 30 years (Luann being 19 or 20 and Brad being about 23 or 24)?
This old grouch gets the joke, but those “Elder Laughs” belong with Frank and Nancy’s parents , not this early-fifty-something couple. Frank and Nancy are now younger than all the cast members of Friends (Matthew Perry, Jennifer Anniston, etc.), and they’re still looking pretty good.
If Frank is in that bad shape, he’s either suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s, or suffering the effects of standing around for years and doing nothing but making passive-aggressive comments.
Get some exercise, Frank. You can still take Nancy to the beach and splash around in the water. Make her laugh at something besides you.

Looks like Frank’s nose grew while his hair shrank. lol
Happy Super Bowl Sunday to everybody! I live just a few miles from the game, here in AZ. People are pretty excited. GL to the Chiefs and the Eagles!
At least there should be some fun commercials and hopefully a good halftime show from Rihanna. =)

I like the way they both don’t look at each other when they are younger, but only Nancy looks at Frank when he is older. A lot of symbolism there.

Early on, Greg depicted them as very hippie – like, and Frank with long hair and his guitar.

Like to see Greg do youth and elder, and various other themes with just Frank & Nancy on Sundays. I liked and enjoyed todays comic a lot.

Which are usually on top of Frank’s head. Wife does the same thing and she usually has a neck cord on them.

Brads gonna look like Frank when he gets older.
Still, Brads the luckiest guy in the Strip.
At least he’s not humiliated in the limited Strip time he gets.
Not like this other guy I know….., ;-(
Go Chiefs!

Elder?? Their kids are over 18 by what, a year or two in Luann’s case, and a few more in Brad’s? Frank and Nancy are probably not even 50 yet.
