I usually give non political strips a pass on political comments but…red states have consistently the lowest grades, the greatest defunding of education, so I looked up a map of per capita beer consumption.
I don’t know, Rat. Having a lot of books (that I have, in fact, read) doesn’t make me feel any smarter at all. It just reminds me how much there is that I don’t know. 8>)
Then there are the people who enjoy both, a great beer and great book are a great pairing. For history books, a dark beer; for a murder novel, a biting IPA; for a romance novel, a Belgian blonde; any more ideas?

When the world is about to end both – books or beers – won’t change a thing. Except perhaps the view on things.
ARTHUR: Three pints each? At lunchtime?
FORD: Sorry. Ah. Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so. And eat those peanuts, because you’ll need the salt.
