The boys forget that Al and Irma absolutely gushed over Tiffany the last time they met. It was for a dinner. June 3rd thru the 8th 2017. Will the magic hold???
Either “Unca Al” gave permission for Tiff to live at the Gulag, which would invite several questions that may lead to disturbing conclusions.
OR
These two kumquats are actually Dumb enough to RAT themselves out. Which would be enough for even Me to wish for the “old” Les back.
Bets can’t get there soon enough. And when she does, maybe she provide Les with ‘deets’ to the dorm party and suggest he attend. He needn’t worry about an “invite” as half the attendees won’t have one either. And the other half will be too wasted to care.
So. Les shows up, “cramps Tiff’s style,” and in a huff, she moves OUT of the Gulag the next day, and alls right with the World.
And Who knows?
Mr. Knox may even get “lucky” at the party when he discovers that there’s other women in the world besides Tiffany.
Al and Irma will happily step in and take care of the problem created by their two little darlings. Sure. Without a doubt. In the little darling’s dreams.
Ah hah! Patented Wednesday misdirection play here including Bets being on her way. All kinds of event confluence, might be, on the way. I’m waiting to enjoy though, whatever the author’s have in mind. Should be zany.
It’s true that Gunther and Les looks a bit like two cowardly young boys here, but I’m happy to see them talk like good cousins and I’m even happier to know that, finally, Al and Irma will be involved in this story. Let’s also admit that Tiffany will be more likely to listen to them and that an important speech could come out to from this. A speech able to help Tiffany to face Stef and the whole dorm room situatio done by Irma and Al. Two people who know how to destroy obstacles mercilessly and how to console and encourage those who are afraid… Can’t wait!
I can kind of see Tiffany, as she gets a bit older, being one of those people who never has a real address of her own, but has no trouble finding a steady string of people who are happy to let her move in “just for the time being”.
I predict Tiff will have a good time at the dorm party; maybe she’ll spot someone she likes and decide that she needs to move back because she doesn’t want all the action happening without her there; she’ll come back and announce it while these two are still trying to figure out how to tell her to leave. Thus, Tiff will still be in control.
I don’t think mom & Uncle Al are going to be overjoyed to find out they’ve been holding a gender swapped version of “Three’s Company” in the guest house.
They both invited her stay (Gunther belatedly.) They both feel it’s time for her to go, but are to chicken to tell Tiffany, so they’re passing the buck. In the meantime Tiffany realizes that it’s time for her to go, even though she loves having Les, and, Gunther, as her “slaves>” Just hasn’t figured out how to tell them, so enlists Betts. (Who also wants Gunther out of Tiffany’s clutches.)
Al has to know, after all the apartment is in the backyard and Tiffany’s BMW is parked outside. If he met Tiffany it would be clear she is from money and if he is connected likely would know the top lawyer in town. The question is are we having a flashback to last Fall or in the Spring semester.
It is clear that Tiffany’s strips are more entertaining than Luann’s. But that’s not a problem. Barney Google rarely makes an appearance in the “Barney Google and Snuffy Smith” strip, even tho his name is first in the title.
This will probably end with Tiff returning and declaring something like; “I’m sorry boys. I know how much you have enjoyed my staying here and I just can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed it too. But I must be getting back to my own life and just can’t entertain y’all forever. Bless your hearts.” 8^ )
1. The “non-dynamic duo” (Les & Gunther) are feeling an understandable bit of discomfort at trying to figure out how to get rid of Tiffany…. yet, their trying to pawn it off onto Irma & Al would only make the hurt/anger Tiffany would initially feel that much worse.
2. Tiffany, for at least a few moments, will feel a bit hurt or angry about being asked to leave, but I suspect she is wise enough to understand why it is time, even though she clearly does not want to leave.
3. Even though there is a lot of speculation about whether Irma & Al know of Tiffany living there…. IMO I believe they BOTH are well aware of it. Think about it…. Tiffany has a car. Tiffany has been there a h*lluva long time already. The Gulag IS in Irma & Al’s backyard. IMO there is no way in h*ll that they would not know of her staying there.
4. Whether Bets knows that Tiffany is there…. that is another question…. and one that could result in a considerable explosion of emotions across the board.
Hah! How quickly they pass the buck. ;-) But they will very quickly find that buck passed right back to them. This isn’t a landlord responsibility. If they didn’t have relatives as landlords, they could find themselves in serious hot water if they went to the landlord with this — and I bet Al will make sure they know that.
My guess is the boys will prance and bicker around the issue for a bit then muster up the guts to tell her… right when she tells them that she is going back to the dorm since she and Dez, Bets, and Steffi are currently on better terms and she’d save on fuel prices by not having to drive to campus. Anyway, it is nice to see exuberant Tiffany from the strip where she was getting ready to go to the party. It’s been a long while since she’s seemed like her classic confident self.
There is no reason to think Al and Irma don’t know Tiffany is staying there. She has a car and she has to park it somewhere. They’ve certainly seen Tiffany’s car. I wonder where Les and Gunther park their cars? There doesn’t seem to be a garage.
Les walks by the bathroom door and Tiffany shouts out to him, “I hereby testify that I like it here and am demanding squatters rights. And, please bring me another one of Gunther’s Star Trek toilet paper rolls, double ply, not that cheap stuff.”
