Gunther is an adult and has every right to have his GF spend time with him at his place. If Irma can sleep with creepy Al.. Gun can sleep with Bets!

Les is right… it is about sex.

Well, I mean, if they’re not married, they shouldn’t be having sex yet anyway.

But, seriously, Gunther has never thought about having sex with Bets before this? Even through he proposed marriage last year.

Al and Irma know that Tiffany is out of Gunther’s and Les’ league and even though they have each had moments where they wanted Tiffany, she is never going to give in to them. That makes her acceptable because she is so far above them that Al and Irma know nothing will ever happen.

Note Bets said “SCORN your girlfriend.” Yes – They were rude to Bets and fawned over Tiffanylike she was family. Gunther should speak up for Bets – but the trouble is that Al & Irma are supporting Gunther and providing free rent. Gunther is not in a good position to stand up for himself (and Bets) until he grows up – gets a job – and his own place to live. Tiffany may have to solve the current situation by recognizing the problem and moving out without being kicked out. Tiffany has done the right thing on occasion as she matures – otherwise I don’t know where all this will go.

I like how Les is the one who has the courage to say what Gunther can’t. Bets’ anger is understandable, but her question sounds almost naive. I hope this can be the start of a discussion between Bets and Gunther about family, love and sex, they really need it.

Les ain’t wrong. Either way, even if she was just visiting, they were nothing less than rude to her the whole time. I like Bets’s plan. Besides, we all know she’s gonna room with Tiff while Les and Gunther continue sharing a space. But if Gunther and Bets DO share a room….I mean, dude, they’re adults now. Time to let them BE adults.

I agree with Bets but Irma doesn’t like Bets as proven in this arc so…maybe it is about sex.

Repeating yesterday’s comment: Gunther needs to move out, tell Irma it’s due to her rudeness towards Bets, or he will soon be single….He and Irma would get over their disagreement, but a girlfriend would be gone for good….

Gunther’s parents have good old fashioned Christian values and they strictly forbid him from engaging in sexual intercourse before marriage.

And – most importantly- why do these guys alway button their collars, though they don’t wear ties ?

Bets isn’t one to shy away from conflict (dare I say that she thrives on it) so why won’t she just speak up for the guys and talk to Tiff? There is no need for this pettiness.

Although obvious; I am going to suggest Gunther get as far away from Bets as possible!

Betts & Al are cut from the same cloth. Neither will be flustered by confrontation.

Bets is beyond annoying. She has a habit of forcing herself on everyone and demanding they do as she says. The girlfriend from Hell.

Since Greg and Karen consistently ignore the rights of property owners in this comic, I’m wondering if we might see that addressed in this story. Even though they are hypocritical bigots, rude and misguided, Al and Irma have the legal right to say who stays in THEIR guest house. They could tell all of those freeloaders to move out and there’s not a single thing they could do about it.

Again Les has hit the nail on the head with his comment. Good to see him caring for Punk. Bets seems a bit pushy. Les and Bets didn’t always get along, especially dating. Don’t know if this will work out. Gunther doesn’t seem enthused about having her there. If Tiffany doesn’t return to the quad, she’s not going to like this arrangement either.

Well Les just laid it all out there. Gunther is going to have to make a choice—defend Bets, whom he claims to love, against his mother’s nastiness or at least try to get his mother to accept Bets.

Bets is not actually welcome to spend the night there – - by Gunther. He will not go against his mommy’s rules. He would rather disappoint his girlfriend than his mom. Big Red Flag!

I’m seeing a bit of “Romeo and Juliet” in this story line — Al and Irma are, seemingly, trying to keep Gunther and Bets apart. They don’t seem to approve of their pairing at all. Of course, in R & J, the parents of both lovers objected to the pairing, but we’ve never seen Bets’ parents, so we don’t know how they’d feel.

I don’t think this story will end up the way R & J did, because I doubt Greg would go there.

My earlier comment disappeared! I might have been flagged by a particularly vexatious commentor, new to me. I just informed that person I might flag them if they don’t stop their conduct. Maybe this person did a pre-abortive flag before I did. Or it’s maybe just a fluke. I do note that when comments get heated (although mine I don’t think they’re heated, just controversial a bit) posts seem to disappear, but anyway I’m not going to be dissuaded by this. Actually, my initial, and only comment today was basically wait until tomorrow to get a clearer picture where this arc is going. I perceive Wednesday as being the big misdirection day, with clues on how the various issues, now thrown down, are going to work out. But generally, comments can sometimes be heated here, but constructive troll or not, we don’t call each other names, or demand a retraction. Heck I might get sued (LOL) but they would have to find me to serve me (LOLLOLLOL). Oh, and Punk, he/she (please a blog archivist correct me here, I cop to being absent-minded) is becoming the cat equivalent of Puddles. Wonder what would happen if they were in the same room together. Please friends don’t flag me.

Gunther and Bets can’t get married. They both have buck teeth.

What’s up with that is the property owners find Tiff more charming than you, Bets. Making a living by filming other people at there worst has a tendency to do that. Get your own place, but respect the property owners and red flag Gunther for not standing up to his mom. But leave Tiff out of it.

Punk is just a door bell!! Or more accurately, Les & Punk are a door bell.

Leslie ends up with the best one-word conclusion.

Bets is, however, smarter than Leslie and probably has a different suspicion….

I always crack up people who are uptight about people living together being wrong because they can/will have sex. Living together doesn’t make it happen or not. & not living together won’t prevent it.
