No more Jetsons reruns for Calvin! (He even looks like Elroy.)
Because in the future, he’ll be able to go to school without leaving his warm bed.
Ah, a look into the future….
At least he’s thinking ahead.
Seeing how the future is pretty much business as usual, I’m sure Calvin will never want to go there.
I want a machine like that.
Still waiting for turbine cars and personal jet packs
To think, we’re the weird future to those that had to walk miles to get to one-room school.
But sometimes the present is no fun.
I remember everyone wanted a flying car. Today I think what it would be like—bits of collisions falling out of the sky, noise pollution, etc. No thanks.
Times change, but everything stays the same.
“There Will Come Soft Rains” by Ray Bradbury. Beware: It’s a very dark and sad short story about an automated house in a post-apocalyptic world.
Mom could really use some robot attendants to take care of Calvin.
Gotta admit. It was great while it lasted?
Typical 1950’s idea of the future: CRT screens (with malfunctioning vertical hold) and massive coil microphones, …
What’s so fun about the present!
Some of us are more present-oriented, while others of us—including me—are more future-oriented. We need both kinds.
Why do most animated cartoons of the future include those stupid skirts for women?
Awww… Calvin sure cleans up well! And that smile! ☺️
Maybe Calvin will grow up and write a series of books or a comic strip or even a tv show about a little boy growing up in the future.
Calvin is SO ADHD. And when I was six, I was SO Calvin.
I’m still ADHD (sorry, it’s a forever thing), but I’ve learned to cope with it.
The future isn’t what it used to be
If Calvin had ever grown up, he could have been the next Isaac Asimov.
So, Calvin imagines this, but Hobbes is “real”. Righhttt……
Those clothes do not look very comfortable. Future clothing should be very comfortable.
I like how Robot 3 goes ahead and adds the extra soap even though Calvin is already out of the machine. They’re clearly not that smart.
The present is s-o-o-o boring.
Reminds me of Nick Parks “The Wrong Trousers” where a machine drops Wallace into a pair of pants that wrecks havoc through the town
I want the house, the jet pack, the boy-o-matic, even the clothes. But particularly the house. :)
Not so keen on the robots, though. Probably watched too much Terminator LOL
Still one of my favourites!
LOL… I wonder how Hobbes looks and fits in Calvin’s “Jetsons World” ??
I love it!
He must have been visiting with his grandfather. This is the future kids growing up in the 60s were “promised.”
As soon as you realize you are in the present, you are in the future remembering you just thought you were in the present.
Where is Hobbes and how does he fit into this future?
I don’t usually care for Calvin’s science fiction dreams, but this one is really pretty good IMO!
Past, present or future…they’re all tense to Calvin.
The future is far more interesting than the past.
Calvin lives in every time but the present!
Haven’t seen this one before – love it!
So is mum’s dress a three-three instead of a tutu?
