in a 1970’s book Robert parker had a character drive from Boston to cape cod and spent a page describing what he saw-car dealership, coffee shops, motels that looked like log cabins…ending with “Maybe Squanto got it wrong.”

How convenient. Dollar stores next door to a Starbucks. After paying for your coffee they’re the only place you can afford to shop.

Maybe the land was discovered by the characters in Moby Dick as Starbuck was among them. I remember another character called Starbuck in the original Battlestar Galactica.

To them they didn’t know it existed, so they just discovered the land along with food in a bag/box/cup/wrap and cheap items that don’t work or cost as advertised. Yes Starbucks coffee is food. My wife said so. Yip yip yip yip yip

So, the land of ID is in the Caribbean? Good to know.

Just imagine: if this had really happened, the country now known as the USA could be called the USR—United States of Rodnica.
