The Library at Meowlexandria stood for many decades as a repository of knowledge that no one was allowed to access. Then one day a fire started. To this day no one knows who or what caused it. Unless it was the toasting of marshmallows for s’mores in the main lobby.
Ora Zed: Wow! S’mores and a fire! Wish I could’ve been there!
Puckmosis: Sometimes we just have to enjoy the time we’re in. Anyway, moving on:
We had the help of many members of the Ancient and Accepted Procurers’ Guild to rescue the scrolls. Where they took them is a matter of conjecture.
Beatrixia: Do you think the Royal Procurers know anything?
Puck: We can ask, but I don’t know if they’ll tell us anything.
Beatrixia: No harm in asking.
Ora Z: What can we harm?
Sometime Later
Puckmosis: So that’s the story of the Library at Meowlexandria that we know so far. Can you shed any light on it?
Agnes-Ata: I’m sure the mice at the time helped with rescuing the scrolls, but what happened afterwards I’m not sure. Actually, the Beaver’s branch of the A and A Procurer’s Guild specializes more in scrolls.
Puck: I know who we can ask.
Violet-Ifa: Yes. My old friend Beaver Lee Cleary is the librarian at the Afar Branch.
Oh, I really want to take Ora Z to an art-house theater and watch Rocky Horror on the big screen! I’d bet she’d love it — hurling rolls of toilet paper, firing water pistols, and shouting, “Buy an umbrella, you cheap bleep!” at the appropriate moment.
It has been awhile since I have seen Rocky Horror. It used to be a staple of midnight movies at many cinemas but recently, at least in the Tampa area, has been relegated to showing at our historic Tampa Theater which shows mostly older classic movies at select times of the year and Rocky Horror often gets slotted in October, right before Halloween. Other than that a cinema at the student union at USF shows it a few times a year and a drive-in out in Lakeland shows in on weekends in October, that is it to the best of my knowledge. The drive in does sound like it would be a fun experience though, nice nostalgic blast from the past.
A tortie can be a willful, opinionated, bossy little ball of fur. Mine is no exception. The potassium deficiency could be on the nose. Yesterday, she walked to the bathroom and back before her legs got tired. One of the things that happened was she wasn’t eating on schedule with the others when she was ruling from her throne in the office. Sure, she’d eat eventually, most likely when I was a work. But only after all the others left nothing but scraps. I would give her extra kibble to hold her over during the day. I have some potassium supplement, I will see if I can titrate it down enough to add to some wet food. Sounds easier than trying to give her a banana! She absolutely refuses to sleep on anything soft! since she was a kitten, she would eschew traditional cat comforts like beds, couches, blankets. This little lady prefers the hard floor, deck, railing, back of chair.
Somehow I’m not surprised that The Artist is a Rocky Horror fan. I myself have never seen this in a theatre. Seen it plenty of times on TV, including watching it all the way through at work, while co-workers covered for me.
I’ve never seen Rocky Horror, and have no desire to do so. I avoided it at SF cons for years. So I’m not getting the references. Oh well, De gustibus non disputandem est.
I see the Intrepid Initial Exploration Team are all still in their hazmat suits. Or back in them, I assume, in Lupin’s case, unless his was designed like a ghillie suit.
Ok, I’m 160 comments late to the party today, so I’m sure it’s been said and said again, but I can’t help myself so here goes: “Let’s do the Time Warp again!” Whee and Squeee!!
When I saw RHPS the second time, (the first time no one told me what to expect) everyone said I had to do Columbia’s tap dance. I was dressed as Magenta and had never done tap before, but I got really good at it. Eventually I was able to duplicate the costume. Sequins and tap shoes are expensive.
After I first saw Rocky Horror Picture Show, I managed to get an LP of The Rocky Horror Show. Not Picture Show; the stage play.
It has an extra song in it — somewhat forgettable, but it was required to shove Brad in front of the curtain to sing this while they madly constructed the “Color My World” set behind the curtain.
Brad sneaked out of the previous scene early to get his corset on, and they threw a lab coat over him.
And trivia for those of you who didn’t already know it — the actor playing Riff Raff in the movie is the guy who wrote the whole stage show.

Let’s dance!
All show your toe beans and dance the blues away!
Let’s dance!
To the music they’re playing that we all know!
Today!
The window lights up your face!
Today!
Dance to the time warp all over the place!
…….
If you say “right”
I’ll jump with you
And if you say “left”
I’ll step
It’s what I love to do!
Let’s all dance all through and through
And nap for many hours!
…….
Let’s dance
Let’s dance
Let’s dance through day and all
Let’s dance
Until the night will fall
Let’s play
Let’s run around the room!
Let’s sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight!
…….
If you say “right”
I’ll jump with you
And if you say “left”
I’ll step
It’s what I love to do!
Let’s all dance all through and through
And nap for many hours!
