Gasp! Bernice is actually agreeing with Luann about something?? ..It’s about time! lol

Maybe Piro is a changed person and something clicks between him and Luann, they have just as much a shot as some other people.

So will this arc continue on Monday or will we possibly see the spectacular Spring Fair start?

Bernice has made a point after Luann made a point it seems like.

She actually agreed? This is rare.

And so the week ends pretty much as the same place as Tiffany and Bets. Does this mean another story change next week? But who’s left? Gunther and…? Nil and Jack? Crystal and Knute would be nice and since both have been defined as crafters (per a long ago episode in the CC cafe) they would be a natural for a Spring Fair, but Greg seems to have permanently put them on the shelf. Oh, please, don;t make it Stef and Kip.

Perhaps she really is over Piro. But is she over Walter Starr?

I suppose this arc will continue next week—and we’ll never hear those essays read aloud due to Bernice’s “soul-searching” drama!!

Right about now, long time heartbroken fans of the Luann/Quill pair-up are grinding their teeth. ;-)

We need some pizzazz. Ann Eiffel – Where are you?

Wait… WHAAAT?? Bernice is finally letting her mask let down and showing her true, fragile, self to Luann? Like she used to do years ago? I… I can’t believe this. Maybe there’s still hope for her?! Even Luann looks very confused. But Bernice’s sadness about being unable to connect with others seems real and big. We all know that she’s unable to do that and even her know that. This is big, this could be the beginning of a beautiful heart to heart discussion in which Bernice will confide to her BFF her doubts about being able to become a psychologist. Time to Luann to help her find her true call, like she has already done with Jack.

One week ends with Bets being speechless an this one ends with Lu being speechless. Wonder who will be speechless next week

A very good morning, Friends. I think the point is that, unlike Burnoose, Luann is going to connect with Pyro (who’s not worthy, btw, he’s a swine) in a very Ann❤️Eiffel kind of way. What? No, no, no, chamber pot minds… Luann is going to use her Ann❤️Eiffel wiles and ways to entice Pyro out of his trust fund. Yep, Luann is rockin’ her Inner Ann❤️Eiffel. There’s a little (or a lot) of Ann❤️Eiffel in every woman. You can Count on it. Think about it… ;) We ❤️ Ann❤️Eiffel.

… wait Bernice ACTUALLY LISTENED? Bernice.. actually listened to someone and not just the sound of her own voice… bernice…. HOLY. CRAP.

Some folks are having trouble seeing why Luann could be attracted to Piro.

Mrs. Horner: “People will be so inspired by your story.” (Starr, Falling)Two hooks here: One, Mrs. Horner represents matchmaker in Greg’s mind. Remember the Gunther adventure fiasco back in July of 2001? Two, Starr, Falling will “inspire” or attract her in some way into a Jack-like relationship arc. Jack also started out as a classmate in the Zébo era.

Tara said Piro’s family was filled with “more drama than even hers” (remember the robber/hit and run cousin?). Starr, Falling must be a hellova of a story! So we have the simpatico author angle.

I think we’re supposed to believe the “mystery” guy as the major interest of Luann, for now. We’ll just have to wait and see what develops.

Wait-Bernice is saying that Luann actually may be right? Is the sky still blue? Are republicans and democrats still bickering?

I was fairly criticized for using a stereotypical trope about Lu “fixing” Walt/Piro because he’s (to my mind) drawn as a clearly troubled, damaged character, and Lu is nothing if not romantic, and big-hearted. I think Walt/Piro is an emotionally needy man who can improve by opening himself to someone he feels he can trust and I believe that person could be Luan. If GnK plan to develop this, it will the most emotionally challenging relationship they’ve ever portrayed. I, for one, hope that is their intent. Come on guys, these are young adults. You have an interracial relationship going, with drama, uncertain enough to satisfy all points of view; its time to let Luann be an adult woman. Piro is 100% MAN. Troubled, but intriguing. Luann loves intriguing.

GnK seem to be overly interested in the “talk to the hand” gesture. Next they’ll have Les do it to Gunther during a discussion on pizza. Maybe the Pitts people just now saw it in a video (everyone on the same day) so they all adopted the gesture?

This could be a really fun story. Luann, Pyro & Jack would make such a nice couple.

What about Brad and lovely wife? We haven’t seen much of them in years.

Ever notice that Luanne’s side profile looks like Calvin from “Calvin & Hobbs”.

This is what’s called a “filler week”.

Does this count as self awareness on Bernice’s part? Does it matter, when the conversation must be abandoned because it’s Saturday, and readers can’t count on it continuing later??

Whatever Piro’s issues are, as suggested by his therapist, he seems to be attempting to open up and acknowledge them. Bernice and Luann may learn a lot, if they listen.I think Nil is less of a friend to Bernice. We haven’t seen them together, except when he calls her and she comes running. Being an unpaid model, as was Jack, does not make a friendship. Right now he seems married to his art. I hope we get to see all the interactions at this spring fair, before any Mother’s Day arc, which could be a blast with Irma! =:-o

A tendency to not actually listen to what someone is saying because you are busy thinking about what you are going to respond is a common problem. Good for Luann in catching herself quickly.

Careful, Greg. These characters start agreeing with one another and next thing you know you’ll kill off the strip.

Or maybe that’s the plan. Pave the way for the “Tales of Tiffany” spinoff.

“Piro is a hard guy to know. I stalked him for months and never found out anything useful. Oh well, maybe you’ll have better luck by being honest and gaining his trust legitimately. But don’t worry, I still expect you to tell me everything you found out, regardless of if Piro wanted that information revealed or not. Not because I actually care about Piro anymore, but because as your best friend I think I’m entitled to know everything you know. And no, I don’t believe in extending you the same courtesy.”

Bernice’s last comment did come as a bit of a surprise.

Are these two young women friends? I don’t understand their interactions.
