Oh goody, the chicken’s back!! Finally the strip has meaning again!

The sign painter didn’t know the difference between “Chick Tracy and Miss De-lite” and “Dick Tracy and Miss De-lite.” It even looks like there was room for the extra letter that “Chick” has. Having worked in the sign industry, I can say that sign makers are not very good proofreaders.

Who’s the blonde? Don’t tell me that’s B.O.’s cousin. She looks totally different.

Consistency isn’t the strip’s strong point!

Sam sees what he thinks is a pastrami sandwich shop and is investigating whether or not they give free samples to law enforcement!

Good morning™, unanticipated encounters !

Shouldn’t they be in some tv studio C to do the ad ?  What is the significance of doing the ad at this exhibition of games ?  I can only think it saves on extra panels, from the switching back and forth from the studio to here where Dicky is supposed to be doing serious Po-leece work. Seeing Chick Tracy and crew will distract him thus enabling another successful Gameboy grab.

You can get whiplash with these plot twists.

Chick Tracy II will soon disappear just coincidently as Super Chicken arrives to save the day and stops Gameboy.

It’s hard to tell from the dialogue if the sign with Tracy’s name on it was a goof by the sign painters, more sloppy editing on TCA’s part, or if the promoter for some reason was expecting Tracy all along. And who uses “Miss” anymore? Promoters in TracyWorld, evidently, who are about 30 years behind the times.

Don’t “chicken” out Tracy!

I rather like how ticked off Tracy seems about all of this

Gotta give Mike credit….he tied in all the stuff people were howling about into the main story line with a nifty little twist.

The security dude looks like a maskless gameboy

Chick tracy 2 will either A) be stolen to play a rousing game of farmer in the dell… or, B) more likely knowing how Mike writes, apprehending gameboy

The pitchman’s comments indicate it’s NOT a mistake.

I think B.O.s presence there would discourage customers, but you never know, the Blonde might be the main draw anyway!

Well… I was partly correct.

What might Sam see? As far as we know now it may be brisket

Yet Catchem has a nose for crime. Fraught danger? He will risk it.

Panel #3-what is Sam looking at? Maybe something that actually has something to do with the plot? Did the current criminal mastermind put that sign up so he can get away while DT is distracted?

Oh no, now Dick Tracy sounds like 90s animated Batman in my head!

1- It makes perfect sense for the chicken to be at this whatever the hell it is.

2- Why does Tracy have an eyepatch in Panel 3. Is he cosplaying a pirate.

3- Just why????

Looks like Dick is being presented as “endorsing the product”,and he NEVER does t hat.

Meanwhile,the 1960’s Honeymoon dolls STILL aren’t selling.

B.O.: Hey. That one-eyed man looks like Brick Bracy! What a co-ink-a diK. SAM: Another stake out ruined. HEY! YOU WITH THE DICE MASK! COVID IS OVER YA DUMMY!

This boreyline is for the birds.

Now we know how the stories tie in and Chick and/or BO save the day….

Looks like the banner writer made a huge typo.

And who has the bigger gizzard,the chicken or B.O>?

With a personal appearance at the Locher Auditorium for the Antique Show and Sale, Miss De-Lite (Klinique Plenty) and Chick Tracy II (an obnoxious hen) provide a photo op for the masses in attendance [it seems we have jumped ahead a day or two in strip time and the show is now open]; but Dick Tracy is also advertised, and our detective is not very happy at finding himself being exploited without his even knowing about it (see the stern reaction in panel 2). B.O. feigns innocence, but I think it is he who neglected to ask Tracy’s permission and presence. Tracy and Sam are there on stakeout for Gameboy, not for the Chick’n De-Lites-sponsored photo op! But, wait! Sam sees something questionable (literally, “?”) in panel 3, a hook for tomorrow and potentially something actually worth our attention….
