Generally, food usually works as a nice bait.

It’s so cute that Calvin carries Hobbes when around people, but once they’ve passed by Hobbes becomes alive again.

Could it be that Susie isn’t interested at all in the ‘mindless musings’ of a six-year old and his stuffed tiger companion ???

I suspect she suspects something’s up and someone is up to no good. Of course, with Calvin and Hobbes, there is a pretty small pool of no goodnics to suspect.

It’s like watching a cartoon James Bond…who only has water balloons for weapons, hates mushy stuff with girls and can’t cross the street by himself yet.

Cal lives on expectations. He seldom is satisfied with the results.

Placing the envelope in Susie’s hand would’ve been far more subtle.

Something tells me this won’t end well for Calvin.

Susy is NOT stupid! She knows exactly what Calvin and his “accomplice” Hobbs are doing all the time.

Susie knows Calvin too well.

LOL… Susie is wise to Calvin’s behavior. She knows he is behind the tree, too.

calvin is so dumb for 6 years old! I was much smarter.

I think the problem is that Calvin was too subtle. If he wanted to tempt Susie to pick up the letter he should have done more to imply that it would interest her. As it is she probably didn’t even notice he dropped it.

Tension is mounting, I can’t stand it, is she or isn’t she?…

Surely her doll would pick up the letter. :)
