Yesterday evening, I watched again the episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents which was an adaption of “A Man Greatly Beloved” by A. A. Milne. The main character and narrator was a little girl called Hildegard who was very intelligent and mischievous so she reminded me a great deal of both Calvin and Susie. Hildegard was played by a child actor called Evelyn Rudie. I looked her up on Wiki and found that she became a director herself although not nearly as successful as the great Alfred Hitchcock.
The Count literally LOL at that one. ❤️ Suzy’s zombie face in the third panel. :) Great way to start the day with the first comic read, boy howdy! Dilly! Dilly!
Makes me feel like that supposed electrician that took my money and a year later nothing to show for it. (Fixture Electric get your Vaseline you’re gonna need it)
[Verse 1]That’s life (That’s life), that’s what all the people sayYou’re riding high in April, shot down in MayBut I know I’m gonna change that tuneWhen I’m back on top, back on top in June
[Verse 2]I said, that’s life (That’s life), and as funny as it may seemSome people get their kicks stompin’ on a dreamBut I don’t let it, let it get me down’Cause this fine old world, it keeps spinning around
[Chorus]I’ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a kingI’ve been up and down and over and out, and I know one thingEach time I find myself flat on my faceI pick myself up and get back in the race
[Verse 3]That’s life (That’s life), I tell ya, I can’t deny itI thought of quitting, babyBut my heart just ain’t gonna buy itAnd if I didn’t think it was worth one single tryI’d jump right on a big bird and then I’d fly
[Chorus]I’ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a kingI’ve been up and down and over and out, and I know one thingEach time I find myself laying flat on my faceI just pick myself up and get back in the raceYou might also likeDid you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean BlvdLana Del ReyLowSZALove LanguageSZA[Verse 3]That’s life (That’s life), that’s life and I can’t deny itMany times I thought of cutting out but my heart won’t buy itBut if there’s nothing shaking come this here JulyI’m gonna roll myself up in a big ball and dieMy, my —Kelley Gorden and Dean Kay, recorded by F. If someone offered to sell me “life,” I’d be pretty disturbed. What could that mean? That they’ll kill me if I don’t pay? Or kill someone else? That they’ll make me responsible for a baby, or a pet, or some other organism? Everything that I can think of sounds pretty unappealing.
