The penny finally dropped……………..
He’s slow. But he gets there…..
Wait a minute! Last year it was on a Saturday!
Remember that year they had December 25th on October 31st?
That’s the old Pogo schtick: “Friday the 13th falls on a Wednesday this month.”
That’s good.
If we switched to the sensible calendar with 13 months of 28 days each, “this year” would no longer be needed.
Just a tad slow on the uptake.
Trying to trip me up Thor?
In the early days of producing calendars, it was hard to work in the holidays and there were so many. So we have to let some go, we no longer celebrate, Lupercalia that honored Venus the Goddess of Love. Maybe we should bring that one back?
Some of the weird things a comic or post will make me think of…
There is someone with every day of the week in their name:
Rick Monday – Baseball Player/Broadcaster
Tuesday Weld – Actress
Wednesday Addams – “The Addams Family”
Detective Inspector Fred Thursday – “Endeavor” (British Detective Series)
Joe Friday – “Dragnet”
Jeff Saturday – NFL Player
Billy Sunday – Christian Evangelist
The Catholics are always changing things, like unsainting…
Does Monday begin on Saturday in Thor’s calendar?
This comic strip came out on Ash Wednesday of 1966. Next year it will be on February 14
surprised congress hasn’t moved it to Monday and declared it a national holiday so the can take the day off
