Did Owen just emerge from under the shadow of ‘greatness’ ?  Someone mentioned about seeing her caboose. Well there it is and it is okay but surely not fantastic, just well proportioned.

Her library puts public libraries to shame. I hope it lives up to the hype Owen is providing since invitations are so rare.

Full of dirty books?

Empty tables…the restaurant must be about to close. No doggie bags are available to take goodies home. They must be one of those upper crust establishments.

You get the feeling Owen has never had a meaning relationship in his life?

I can’t wait to see what her house will look like. And does she have shelves for the books to rival her clothes closet?

Imagine the conversations at MCU after the visit. Who is going tell Sam he’ll have to sit this one out?

Are some of her rare books, the result of murders of the owners?

I’m very happy to hear about Mad Cave Studios’ graphic novel re-launch of Dick Tracy in March of 2024!!! New material! New characters! Michael Moreci is a terrific writer. He scribed the excellent Agents of The Shadow graphic novel for Dynamite Comics back in 2014. We wish him and his team best of ☘!!!

Is “library” code for something salacious or perverted? “Oh? What’s it like?” Dick says out of the side of his mouth in P2.

Library eh. Obviously you’ll finds them missing medieval manuscripts in there. Me is always knews that Goldielocks is no good stealing crook.

Owen’s poor vocabulary and lack of descriptive adjectives builds up anticipation for the library.

Red herring or the mastermind behind the thefts?

Snap it up for crying out loud ! This is slower than the twelve days of Christmas . But , in fairness , we have a good look at all the players so now let’s get back to Dick , Sam and Lizz and watch them do what they do .

It’s Tracy’s job to go into the Polar Bear’s den, so he shall. Why is there a huge wall safe suspended from t he ceiling by a thin cord?

I wonder what the occasion of Owen’s visit was; if she only rarely has visitors, a party of some sort seems unlikely.

So who picks up the tab for dinner, city or the state?

Yeah, right, Owen (panel 1, with whoosh of relief signaled by musical note). But by panel 3, he lapses into a pleasing reverie as he recalls seeing Xaviera’s fabulous library (on just one occasion).

This bit of dialogue between Tracy and Owen muddies the waters a bit, as it could be read to imply that Ms. Libris is just ultra tight-ass and stuck-up, but not a villain (per my speculation yesterday)….

I guess we’ll see in two days, unless something else intervenes and derails this sub-arc….
