Well, at least she doesn’t claim that she doesn’t know Caxton and never met her, because those photos would make her look very guilty. I wonder if praising how pleasant she is might be over doing it.
Not sure I understand the, “No doubt there are news photos.” There are news photos of the two of them at a charity event or something? Why mention it? If you’re pretty sure Tracy already knows you’ve met someone just say “yes” – what would the news photos prove? If Tracy doesn’t know you’ve met someone, why say yes and suggest he look through news photos to prove you’re right? Wouldn’t he believe your yes?
“Yes, I’ve met her (‘at charity events’ / or ‘but don’t know her well’ / or ‘our social circles overlap’). A very pleasant woman,” would have read more smoothly. The reference to news photos sounds like she suspects a trap and is unnaturally over-cautious.
“respective parents and grandparents would have been closer”….but not THIS gal, with a look about her that suggests undies left in the freezer all night before being donned……probably even walks stiff-legged, but P & C haven’t suggested that, at least up o this point…..

Good morning™, smirkers !
P.3. Tracy has the happy look of someone who picked up on something significant that I am failing to see. Guess I’ll have to wait for the Sunday.

Next is Aldus – and maybe both X’s name and his on the logbook page for the last day he was seen alive will finally come into play.

Come on! Snap and pull a knife on him or something! Or a seemingly unconnected murder to complicate things.

Is it possible that Tracy’s enjoying this interview a little too much?

At least Tracy has a tour of her book collection for the memory. But is he any closer to progress on this case?

Tracy is about to play his two face cards, so to speak.
Wilhelmina Caxton? Nah, sorry, detective. Ask the previous generations, who might have something to offer. Diversion!
Tomorrow, we’ll see how Xaviera blows off Aldus Manutius, which might be more difficult, since they both worked with the Pfister Institute….
