Even in the Land of the (Almost) Eternal Winter, the first snowfall is exciting- provided it falls in November, and not October, or even September.

Be glad you have snow to enjoy the outdoors in. As I write this in south Florida, it has been raining heavily – accompanied by wind – for HOURS!

My! How the climate changes over the years. Hard to imagine it was snowing in Ontario, Canada in the year 1994 when this was published. Today the weather forecast here for Toronto, Ontario is a high of 12 Celsius, 54 Fahrenheit with a 30% chance of rain!

Well, not always. We had our first snow around Halloween, great always helps to brighten things up here at 63N. Then we had rains and flooding for three days straight.

I am getting tired of April. She’s becoming annoying and doesn’t seem to grow any older than a 2-year-old. What has Michael been up to in his new life in college? That’s who I’d be interested in hearing from.

Not where I live…except in the summer. It seems every season is more extreme! I may not have an April, but I sure have my Kodie (dog) and he LOVES snow!

It snowed here (Chicago) on Halloween. I felt like saying Marry Christmas instead of Happy Halloween.

A memory: I was working at Bradlees. We had 2 new employees, best friends from southern California, Dawn & Frankie. We were setting everything up before opening when we saw that it was snowing. Frankie suddenly ran outside and started dancing in the snowfall. Dawn explained to me that she had never seen snowfall before. After just a moment Frankie came running back in, and she yelled, “D*MN!!! It’s COLD!!!” I just smiled at her & said, “Welcome to New Hampshire.”

I miss being a kid and being excited about snow. One of the prettiest places for snow was my grandparents’ farm (for a farm scene).

Personally I think global warming does exist. The seasons are just not the same as they were when I was a kid. Things are definitely different.

The inconsistency of April’s speech is a little bothersome. Surely she can say “snowing” if she can say all that she did in panel 2.

What caused the ice age over 10000 years ago? What caused the ice to melt and leave Minnesota with 10000 lakes? Must have melted because of coal fired power plants and cars.

John’s reality and April’s don’t always match, but they’re equally real.

I’m a Michigander and I have to say I get excited for snow, especially for Christmas. . . Not to ski, but to shovel! Call me crazy but it’s calming especially in the evening to shovel the driveway. The snow glistens like jewels! And then there is the hot cocoa with whipped cream waiting for me!

The difference in perception is what makes childhood exciting as compared to adulthood.

Someone who is able to say “It’s no-ing” can also say “It’s snowing.”
