How’s that for wish fulfillment? I said yesterday that those door frames had seen more action than just Ora Zella, and I hoped that we would see evidence of it someday!
None of my cats ever scratched a doorframe until Cindy Lou. She went about it very casually and methodically, which made me wonder what the doorways in her former home looked like. However, she only did this in the doorway to “her” room—I imagine it was a visible warning to the boys to stay out. It continues to work. The only one who voluntarily enters that room is Tucker, and he only goes in long enough to use his private litterbox.

Elvis’ anger is beautiful. But not as beautiful as a visit from Tillie. They truly are never forgotten. They never leave us.

Much, much older.
Looks like someone might even have left a note or two on the doorway!

Kittens can take over the world easily, because we’d let them, whilst cooing about how cute they are.

Eh no way cat climb that in old days wearing that kinda dress.

You are, as always, right, Elvis. But you owe your current position to that fact.

Good to know someone was watching over her. As opposed to watching from under her.

From WW I, Robert LLoyd: Good Morning, Mr. Zip Zip Zip
This morning I went Zip, Zip, Zip
Running up door jamb fine
This morning I went Zip, Zip, Zip
No all the claw marks are mine!
Tillie, and others have run there, too
With Puck to help me I came down, true
This morning I went Zip, Zip, Zip
Now I’m ready for a nap ’till nine!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Puckmosis: Have any of you seen Ora Z lately?
Arachna: Yes. In fact, she’s right here testing the strength of my web art.
Puck: There you are. Let’s let Ari finish here web.
Ari: Oh, no problem. I’m glad my art is strong enough to stand the test of time.
Maat-Tilda: I remember back in the day I was quite a climber, too.
Sophititi: Anything to get the creative juices flowing.
Puck: Speaking of juices, Thomios has juice and scones in the small dining room.
Ora Z: I’m on it!
The Ladies: So are we!

Memories
Etched in edges of the frame
Tillie left some deep-cut memories
Ora’s not all to blame
Scattered scratches
Of her climbs are left behind
Carvings the Woman discovered
As Tillie laughs and purrs
So it’s adventures
She can remember
Whenever she remembers
Good times that were
Fun climbs that were
