It’s tough to fish for fish sticks.

freshly taken out of the freezer (or the sewers, up to you)

If the fish sticks, wear it. Or something like that…

Probably better than some of the fish at the fast food joints that I’ve been to.

Hmm minced fish. Have you ever seen or caught a minced fish.

“Is it Cod, Haddock, or Pollack?” … “Batter or breadcrumb?”

“You do have ketchup, do you not?”

“Do ya want it on a plate, or still on the sticks?”

When I was a kid when I first heard “fish sticks” I thought it’d be a whole fish on a stick, fried or whatever.

I thought they were called fishing rods.

Had that as a kid still at home. Never had then since then.

toss up between fish stick and codfish cakes. And I do mean toss up.

As a kid, I was pretty omnivorous, and ate just about anything Mom put on my plate … except … fish sticks!! I’d go to bed hungry rather than eat that marine garbage.

My opinion of that ersatz seafood has never changed!

That used to be the only fish I would eat. Nobody told me how to eat around the bones of the others. I took a bite and spent five minutes picking out the bones. Another bite… MORE bones? When I finally finished that one bream, I didn’t try again until my early 20s. Flounder was great. Bones all on a plane, none above, none below.

What kind of bait do they use to “catch” fish sticks?

Course they were pretty easy to catch.

Too easy to catch. ….

They had to catch them before the roaches carried them away.

Used to have those every Friday during Lent way back when.
