Michelangelo took on a commission for the pope but ended up completing a commission for his belief.

I’ve seen it in person and it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. It’s a bit too busy for me

I was privileged to visit the Sistine Chapel. It is a beautiful place. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for Michelangelo to paint the ceiling while supine for 5 years. The guide said his face was scarred by the drops of acidic based paint he used that fell onto him while he was working

I thought he was wearing two coats while he painted it. It gets cold in that part of Italy.

Just paint over it.

That’s what happens when you go with low bidder ….

Betcha he gets paid by the hour.

Anyone notice the leveling wedges?

Also, why aren’t the fingers touchin’?

Why do you think he hasn’t taken down the scaffolding yet?

“….cover all this up and start over.”

It must be difficult to carry all the different colors of paint up the scaffolding ladder. We see that not all of it has gotten up there, yet.

Good thing he didn’t have fear of heights

The real estate agent will tell you to paint it plain white before they will put it on the market. That’s what happened to the oak kitchen cabinets we spec’ed when we bought our house.
