I wonder if Bernice’s relatives are still sponging off her parents and taking over her bedroom. It’s been a couple of years, already.

I used to just crastinate but I got pretty good at it so I went pro! Yay me!

Luann can start an online service providing rationalizations for requested situations – maybe $25 a pop.

Puddles thinks, “Are we still in reprints? This joke is from 2019.”

So do you think Bern has confessed to being the cause of Puddles’ “accident”?

So now, We have a pretty good idea why Bernice is allowed to stay at the DeGroots indefinitely.

Nancy is hoping that Bernice’s “positive traits” will rub off on Luann.

Well, it ain’t working…….,

Because one out of three…um…well…isn’t really that good.

Luann 2023 was not the best, the only interesting storyline being the last one (yes, I have been silently keeping up). I hope the storylines for 2024 are much better.

Maybe Bernice should make a resolution to be a nicer and more helpful person. Nah! That’ll never happen.

For once, Luann looks back at her old list of New Year’s resolutions satisfied, she was able to accomplished one thing. Not even Bernice’s usual sarcasm will be able to deprive her of this joy. This looks like a nice message to end the year with. Let’s hope Luann can be happy in 2024, continue writing, find new friends. Maybe start attending college and deepen her relationship with Piro (or with Jack). Happy New Year!

2019, the last year of “normal” America. Then 2020 hit. Karens discovered their inner Stazi with the face mask mandates. Riots broke out coast-to-coast. Homelessness is now massive in many American cities. Crime has exploded. “Holly-‘woke’” totally abandoned entertainment for “the message”. The movie entertainment industry died. Protestors block highways while police guard them from vengeful mobs. 2019… it seems a million miles away.

Luann has trash under her bed from 2019?? The messy room schtick is so old, but if they quit portraying it, a major personality aspect of their character is lost.

Organization is more a state of mind than placement.

At least she’s consistent.

NO! Bernice, Luann’s consistency has nothing to do with rationalization!

Luann’s New Year resolution should be to reduce her personal time with Bernice. It will improve her self esteem. She’s got a big heart that with constant exposure to Bernice’s toxic comments might become infected.

Okay Bernice, you always have a snarky response, let’s see how you have done with your past resolutions.

Items three and four I guess are completed? Happy New Year.

So.. we are done with the flashbacks and moving on.. skipping what happened to the Christmas in the cabin… GRRR

Once again I’m watching Fish on the Catchy Comedy Catchy Binge and after reading today’s strip I want to go up to Bernice and yell her name at her in my best Abe Vigoda impersonation.

I keep my New Year’s resolutions reasonable and to specific. Wash all the dirty dishes before I go to sleep at midnight. Keep the clutter around my desk organized. Throwing out 2022’s newsletters.
