I had nothing against my ex but when my teen daughter called my second wife her “Real Momma” the waterworks poured out of ME.

It seemed to me Janis was already sold, and we saw Arlo getting interested during his discussion with Gus.

My wife is still talking about places she wants to live – a new one every few months – even though it would be completely impractical to sell the house and move the three of us to another state. Cartoon characters are not hampered by such realities.

I lost my wife of 30 years and her kids from previous marriage told me I can’t call them step kids anymore, you can’t get rid of us that easily was the quote

There’s lots of jokes about mothers-in-law, but some of them are super moms!

It would’ve been nice to have a daughter-in-law like that. (sigh)

They are moving to the condo. Fait accompli.

Today’s trip was not at all funny, but… it brought a big smile to my face.

That’s what my dog calls a ‘nose boop’.

I don’t think she was expecting that!!

When my wife and I were first married, my father-in-law told me I could call him Dad. I really liked him and he was a great f-i-l but I could just never bring myself to call him Dad.

Oooo, she played the “Momma” card. Janis is toast…

Getting played here for sure. She used several attempts to use her wiles to get them to come to the coast. This one might do it. sadly it is not for the best for A&J but will work out well for the kids and the business. I see a retirement full of free labour ahead.

Shortly after i proposed to my wife her mother asked if I wanted to call them by Al and Gloria or what? It immediately seemed right to call them Dad and Mom. 44 years later it still feels right.

All that aside, they hit pretty hard, I think Janis has a nose bleed.

I loved my in-laws every bit as much as I did my own. I miss them all.

It just occurs to me that Mary Lou hasn’t had a mom in her life for a long time. Guess that’s why she’s so fond of Janis. I was wondering why she’s so eager for them to move there, but now it makes sense.

Arlo is probably thinking , what did I do wrong this time.

We moved within 3 minutes of our kids and grandkids and it has been the best thing we have ever done

I get along great with my daughters-in-law. I would love for them to call me dad, but i don’t expect that to happen.
