I’d like to see the whole list…“Try harder” and “Don’t eat sugar” are good (we all know how we’d interpret them, and they could be improvements), but I’d like to know what else she wants to work on. Asking others for support could be helpful…if that’s what they want to be.

We don’t need a psych text, B. The Oxford Dictionary defines ‘resolution’ as ‘a firm commitment to do something’. And B is defined as ‘frenemy’…

Luann’s first resolution should be to get a new best-friend!!

Asking a soon to be ex-friend to monitor your resolutions is like telling them to bite your butt. Very irritating and a pain in the a**.

She should be doing an Internet search. Textbooks are usually years out of date, considering the time from planning through writing and publishing, then selling them to innocent college students. At least six to ten years there.

I wonder if Bernice is going to be a permanent resident of casa Degroot? Granted although it has been several years on our calendar, it still has been a couple of years in the Luannverse since brother Ben moved into her parent’s house and then she lost her RA at Mooney and subsequently moved into Brad and the Pru’s old bedroom when Nancy felt sorry for her. Thus a good arc would be Bernice either going back to Mooney as an RA again so she can cite regulations at Tiff, Stef and the rest of the Hall A gang.

Well as We enter the year 2024, We can be certain of one thing: Bernice will NEVER change. And that’s a BAD thing.

Geez Luann, why not post your resolutions all over town? That way everyone except YOU will be responsible for you keeping your resolutions. This is stupid.

Hi, been a few days since I. commented. There is always something about New Years reolutions, and Bern is right technically. However, Lu is right from the practical sense how most people end up treating resolutions. New gym club memberships are a good example. Of course Bernixe gets hate, sigh, as pwr usual. Nothing new.

The kind of tape used also gives insight into your psyche.

Enough of Bernice. Move on to other scenarios please!

This arc is really interesting. Luann’s attitude is weird. She wants to be helped by Bernice, but she seems to suffer in asking her for help; it’s like she dreaded the long speech Bernice would surely give her, but at the same time felt they needed to talk. Let’s hope this speech is the excuse for a sincere discussion between the two, to ask themselves what they want and if they are really still best friends. Luann sure has a lot of questions about herself and her nosy BFF, it’s time to get some answers.

So psychology books have their own definition for words? Now the streams of idiocy from the psychology field makes sense. 99% of people use a dictionary for the definition of words, not psychologists. They invent their own definition of words. Perhaps that’s why a post 2010 psychologist can’t define a man and a woman.

she is going to make a horrible therapist. she refuses to listen, she is constantly belittling, she thinks she understands what is happening, when in reality she has 0 understanding. she is either to arrogant to understand what is being taught. or she thinks she knows it all already and thinks she can just ignore input from everyone.

Is Greg’s plan to make everyone hate Berice? I haven’t liked her in a long time, and it seems everytime she’s ‘on’ it just gets worse.

Use the buzz words Luann. Say something like: Sharing my goals so you can “keep me accountable” – and suddenly, it’s a common piece of advice.

Her Majesty has made her Resolutions! All Hail Luann!

Luann should not be “assigning” her family and friends responsibility for her resolutions. It’s self-centered and juvenile, not to mention arrogant and obnoxious. I would be offended by her self-centered attitude.

All of them should give their lists of resolutions TO HER, so she can help them keep theirs. That’s the only way to fix this stupid story line. Who came up with this? They need to be sent to the dummy room.

Why not look up ADHD, which is why Luann needs extra help?

With Bern, what else is new? She always overthinks things into the ground.

Having support with resolutions is a good thing, but Luann seems to be putting the responsibility of reminding her and of her success on her family and friends. Her goals are vague and unrealistic. Try harder at what? Who can monitor everything she eats? But Bernice is being Bernice. Too technical. Each person is responsible for their own actions. Actually, a worldwide problem. :-/

Berniece is being very snarky and superior here by lecturing Luann on her resolutions. But Luann is wrong to have ever opened the door to her snark by asking for her “help” in achieving them. Your resolutions are your OWN——you own them and it is up to YOU to make them a reality.

She doesn’t want to change. She just wants a big public display of her desire to change so people will think she’s trying.

Could it be that Luann is paying back Bernice for the cracks she made after reading Luann’s last year’s resolutions? Hmmm?
