Bosco and Tracy didn’t expect to see each other? They obviously don’t know they are in this strip. Meanwhile, that struggle leaves an opening for Baxter/Fata to escape from Tracy, so I guess Tracy is not going to be able to arrest both of them.
I figured one of ‘em got smacked in the face but I didn’t think Tracy woud be there too. Fata better be a better runner than she is a hit person or she’s toast. I love the art and the coloring today. Nice action shots!
In P.2. we can see a packet in “Baxter’s” fingers pre flash bombing. “Bob” had better run as Tracy will have serious suspicion now that “he” and Bosco have been seen together. I hope Mike doesn’t get banned for showing violence. LOL !
Probably there are scenes like this many times before, but anyone think it’s normal for an officer to rely on a left hook in a situation like that? (and is it because they’re holding their gun with the right?)
Has anyone know or had contact with Sisyphos? They haven’t commented since 12 days ago, hope they’re just on holiday and nothing else. In their last comment on here they gave no indication they weren’t going to be commenting for a while.
Will the henchman who’s so cool he wears shades at nite come into play here, maybe see Baxter running out & stop him/her or head inside the theater to check up on his boss & surprise Tracy from behind? Or will tomorrow’s strip bring another domestic scene between Fata/Baxter & Rikki? Stay tuned.
Yes, fantastic explosive action at LAST. I was waiting for B. O. (Bob Oscar) Plenty to turn up at the MCU with his chicken Henrietta and waste time “chewing the fat” with Tracy.
Bosco walks up to a stranger and asks, “Hey, I heard you’re a hit man, wanna make some dough?”
Stranger, who has never seen Bosco, says, “Drop dead.”
Bosco punches stranger in face, and Tracy comes out of nowhere to charge Bosco with simple assault. Bosco pulls a gun to use stranger as hostage (adding a couple felony charges to misdemeanor assault). Stranger does the old flash powder in the face trick and Bosco nabbed. Stranger flees, knowing Tracy will insist on a medical examination to determine details of the assault.
Other than Bosco being a moron, it works.
But let’s add, why did Bosco think the stranger was a hit man, when the “Baxter” persona was invented to be innocent of crimes while the heat was on FM? Or, if Baxter does dabble in assassination, why tell Bosco to drop dead? Especially if Baxter is only in town because “he” needs the money for the failed Bosco hit on Tess? (Apparently the hit on hit on Doctor Two has disappeared in some timey wimey fashion, which is why Tracy was watching Baxter from the theater wings rather than trying to solve it.)
This story is jumping more often that an Olympic diving team…I’m assuming that Bosco Nestle pistol whipped Fata since it OBVIOUSLY “happened off panel” (Gof forbid violence being shown in a cop strip, tho it’s more likely that since the character of fata is a woman it’s not ok to depict it, but it’s hunky dory okey dokey to depict tracy throwing hands)
Nicely done…first panel of row 2, “Baxter” reaches into “his” coat for something; second panel of row 2, Baxter is now holding a small capsule; first panel of row 3, Bosco is blinded by the contents of the capsule.
1-DT: Good thing I stuck around here to watch Baxter and was in no way following Boxcar as some people have inaccurately claimed! BOXCAR: ? Who would’ve EVER thought that?
2- …ANYWAY – I’LL TAKE THIS GUY INTO THE STATION FOR YOU! You were right to suspect him of something. I got this. Psst…I’ll get us outta here. Just keep quiet…
3- POOF! AHH! BANG!
4- SMACK (more powerful than THWAK)!
5-B00BS BAXTER: I’LL GET SOMETHING TO TIE HIM UP! DT: I got handcuffs, silly! Baxter! I said I got… Baxter??? Where’d he go? Wow. Deja Vu – he disappeared like Fata… hmmmm, I wonder…
Will Tracy trace (ha!) the cheek bruise on Baxter to Fata eliciting the appearance of the light bulb moment – “THEY BOTH GOT PUNCHED ON THE CHEEK! WHAT A COINCIDENCE!”

Bosco out of patience. Tess Tracy living still
Decides to put down Baxter. Moves in for the kill.
Fata has some practiced moves. Needs no time to think
In an inner pocket, a smoke bomb colored pink.
Plume cloud so thick that Bosco chokes. Dense smoke gets in his eyes
Tracy treads on well-trod boards. Knocks Boss Man down to size.
Fata flees from the tight squeeze. Tracy’s hands are full
Action at the Playhouse, where things are never dull.

Imagine or picture it as Sophia on the Golden Girls would say, “Tracy somehow I had a feeling this waiting in the wings thing would pay off”.

Going back to Tracy what is going through his mind? " Darn, Baxter sure runs like a woman"
