Goldie looks like she’s had a good idea/realization in the last panel. Love seeing her smile. I remember her introduction story and love to see how happy she is now.
A few orbsters above mentioned “issues” between Goldie and Lupin. I think this must originate before I (and certainly many others) joined GoComics. Could some post a date for the arc or reply with a brief summary? Thanks!
A few weeks ago, the youngest girl mentioned a tortie kitten that was hanging around her house with her mother. She decided that since it was already half tame, she would move her into her house. So on Monday she brought her into the house. Her oldest cat, Tie-Tie, is not pleased but her (now) middle cat, Jinx, seems ok with the idea. The new little tortie has been named Mysterious but is being called Mysti. Next week she will be off to the vet for all the upgrades. Jerika said Mysti is the floppiest cat shes ever seen. She races across the house then flops. Petting? Flops. Eating? Finishes then flops.
It’s the season for raccoons to make more raccoons! My backyard has been full of all kinds of fighting and other goings-on for days now. I know they have to do their thing but I wish sometimes they wouldn’t hurt each other. One of my favorite big guys last year died after a mating fight, and they are constantly trying to push each other off the tree that crosses the drainage ditch to the river, which is a thirty foot drop to concrete!
My favorite raccoon is a smart guy who has figured out how to win these tree battles. Instead of going head to head with the other guy, he turns his rear to him, backs up past him, then turns around and goes on his way.

Law and Order. Which, Goldie recalls, has something to do with her recorder. Now, if she can just work out what…

Did you perhaps borrow a recorder without asking once upon a time, Goldie?

That she does.
That’s one of my favorite shows.

Goldie, I think maybe it is time to return the tape recorder and apologize to a certain white-furry news anchor.

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Ishaq, The Cat in the Unusual Headgear: Alright, everyone ready to start? Thanks again for making the trip, guys. And it’s not even Wednesday.
Kara: No problem. Every day is Hump Day for Vann and me.
Puckmosis: Maat-Tilda asked me to visit with Arachna Webspinner if I get a chance to see if she has any new textiles.
Beatrixia: Nothing like a spider to weave new fabrics.
Ishaq: And Thomios gave me a list of spice things to buy if we meet Amon-Merchant and Azibo.
Violet-Ifa: I’m not certain (because how would I know?), but I think are best chance to meet them would be tonight at the Midnight Oasis.
Sometime Later, at the Midnight Oasis
Puckmosis: Here we are. Kara and Vann, do you want to bed down for the night?
Vann: Yeah. Thanks, guys.
Puck: And it looks like the Spice Merchants are here. How ya doing, guys.
Amon-Merchant: Fair to middlin’. We have a whole new inventory of spice plurals for sale.
Puck: I’ll leave Ishaq and Vi to it.
Azibo: So, are you guys planning to go to Afar?
Bea: Yes. We’ll have breakfast at Floofnet’s culinary school and then go to research board games.
Azibo: Make sure you meet with Beaver Lee Cleary. I understand they’ve unearthed some first edition scrolls by Erma Bombosis.
