Even still it would be hard to read the sign when it is edge on to traffic. Perhaps they are driving on the left side of the road like they would do in England. But then wouldn’t the sign say Caution: Sharp Right?
Typical along California’s ocean highway between San Francisco and Guala … few if any metal barriers. Wrecks still rusting on cliff bottoms near Hollywood.

The sign must have been made by Acme.

No matter where the sign is placed, somebody will choose to ignore it and become a Darwin Award nominee.

Not necessarily B.C. not necessarily. You could be performing an act of D.S.F. (Did Society a Favor) if you just leave it as is.

They must be in Canada. Offramp signs are usually ten feet in front of the (obscured) ramps.

Try Massachusetts Route 2 heading west into the town of North Adams. Worse than this BC road.

The sign is not MUTCD compliant. Should be diamond shaped. The down pointed signs are for Yield.

And face it differently too.

Of course, from the perspective of the viewer, the road takes a sharp right. And the sign appears face-on.

And move the white line to be more accurate too. That might help just as much.
