My kitten got her head stuck in a kitchen chair. It was really scary! The chair back has slats which are wider at the top than the bottom, and she jumped and stuck her head through and slid down. I tremble to think what would have happened if she had been alone. These chairs have lived with us 32 years and six kittens, and no one has ever had a problem. I swear, that child… she was playing with the strap on my purse which was sitting on the sofa, and twisted her leg up in it, then panicked and jumped off the sofa and hung there. Next escapade, getting stuck in the handle of a takeout bag which she pulled out of the trash and running around the house in a panic with a bag chasing her. Now we cut the handles with scissors immediately upon bringing bags home, which means they can’t be reused. She’s used up a half dozen of her nine lives already and she’s not six months old!

Quick shout out to everyone who replied to my query about “the ORB”. yesterday. I feel privileged to be included. You represent the “better angels” of the inter-web.

You know, If one person, just one person does it they may think he’s really sick and they won’t take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they’re both f*****s and they won’t take either of them. And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in singing a bar of Alice’s Restaurant and walking out. They may think it’s an Organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day, I said Fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice’s Restaurant and walking out. And friends they may thinks it’s a movement.

So… if you can get anything you want at Alice’s Restaurant, they must serve tea and cinnamon toast.

OT: There’s a new resident here at Xsintricks hacienda. I was returning from my Dad’s place (he’s sixty yards away) and I saw a dark shadow near the path. Lit it up with my flashlight and saw it was a grey fox. I followed it for a bit to confirm and then went our separate ways. For the record, I tend to leave the wildlife alone here.

Okay, Ora Zella is off my snit list. I hope she realizes that it’s okay to laugh at someone in a predicament, if you don’t make it worse, and immediately start helping them get out of it. But she probably won’t.
