It is with heavy heart and deep grief must post on the Passing of my kid brother, Blair

Blair 58, passed away on April 30, 2024, at Sunnybrook Hospital after bravely battling complications from an aneurysm he suffered on April 15. Born in August 1965, Blair was the respected Superintendent at a Whitevale golf course, where his dedication and passion for the sport shone through in every aspect of his work.

Blair had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed the thrill of riding motorcycles and the fascination of trains. He was known for his outgoing nature, infectious smile, and the ability to make friends wherever he went. His warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.

Blair was the devoted husband of Christina and the proud father of twin sons, Ben and Jake. He found immense joy in his family. Blair was the son of Jean and the late Leroy Rennie, and he is survived by his three brothers, John, Nigel, and Elliott.

Blair will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, love, and zest for life will forever be remembered.

Tommy obviously also loves Sophie.

Awww.. and accurate. Sadly this does kinda.. kill my Elivis and Sophie ship. I mean Gutter was already doing a good job of that but this made me realize why they may not mesh: Sophie is very celebratory, open, joyous and Elvis is closed off and angry all the time. It’s not that opposites like this CAN’T work, see Davan and Vanessa in something positive or Luke and Loreli from Gilmore Girls, but in those there’s a level of snark, especially in the latter, that keeps it ballanced. Elvis simply takes his cranky nonsense too seriously for Sophie to really crack that shell. Their both off in their own worlds, and they vibe enough to be good buddies.. but I sadly realized they just don’t work together. Maybe things will change who knows.. but Gutter, whose also closed off, a tad moody but artistic, just.. fits her better. Their diffrent enough to help each other grow, but similar enough to bond. Elvis needs someone either so diffrent they can calm him down (Tommy) or enough on his wavelength to get him over himself and whose on that same weird hyper competitive agro level (Tabitha).

Good-hearted Tommy! He is being fair to Wesley while also being honest with Sophie about what she needs to be happy. Her smile in the last panel is like the sun returning after days of rain and clouds.

OT- A couple months ago I took in my sons cat. It was supposed to be temporary until I found him a new home. When he came to me he had an upper respiratory infection and both ears infected. $400 in vet bills later that is all clear. But he has allergies. Constantly sneezing. He has bonded with Starlord and me. I just can’t let him go now. I’ve known this wonderful tabby for 14 years. My son’s girlfriend cat had kittens and Tigger picked Chris to be his human. His 14th birthday is today and you would not be able to tell it. He still acts like a kitten when he plays. I tried to change my avatar but it keeps telling me it’s the wrong size. Why will dogs eat cat food but cats wont eat dog food? What’s up with Temptations cat treats? Seems like there must be some form of Kitty cocaine or opiates in the treats. Most of my 8 cats prefer treats to the wet food, Fancy Feast Pate. Is there a Big Animal Food whistle-blower out there who can clue me in? I’m serious! Are any of the animal foods out there harmful to our pets? Why do Vets want to know what kind of food you feed your pets when they are very sick or close to death? Also, why is the price of the cat litter my cats use gone up in price during the pandemic but has never come down? A four pound bag of “Vibrant Life” mini crystal cat litter, available only at Walmart, went from $4.99 to $7.17? Googled its price for 2019 and no relevant results. Any cat experts out there that can clue me in?PS: i feed my dogs cat food.

So has Gutter been talking to Tommy, asking him to put in a good word about him to Sophie?

i guess i’m the only one thinking that, though I love and adore Tommy, he is being a somewhat typical male. yesterday he asked Sophie how SHE was feeling and unless she told him off camera, he doesn’t give her a chance to express herself and then proceeds to give her HIS point of view. not that he isn’t right, but a lot of males don’t know how to just listen, they want to be problem solvers.
