So….how did Calvin acquire the bongos and horn? In their own, peculiar way, Calvin’s parents are the architects of their own demise. No parent in their right mind would buy a kid a drum set and expect them to not to play it in the wee hours of the night.

Most parents would be glad their child is taking after Richard Feynman with the bongos. But…ok…the horn…not so much.

Just once I’d lie his parents to see Hobbs as Calvin see’s him and see their shocked expressions.

Hobbes must have been trying to sleep too. Why didn’t he pounce on Calvin?

It would have been fun if Watterson had shown Hobbes (in stuffed animal mode) with the pillow wedged around his ears.

Fair enough. Parents have to pay a price to keep that young lad sleep alone. Specially since they do not know the little secret of Hobbes.

I had terrible insomnia as a kid. I still do, but I have ways of reducing it now.
