The two weeks with Luann weren’t so bad because she was pushing back on their insanity with common sense and an appreciation of self. But now it’s just the two of them and the stupidity knows no bounds.

If those two proceed with this, I hope Luann files a defamation suit!

IMO, Bets is a bad influence on Tiff, who had been growing and maturing in recent years. Bow, it looks like she’s regressing back to her earlier self.

Looks like they may not be giving up on Luann. I do agree with Eladee that Ox could be a good candidate. If done right (by the Evans’), they could make Ox into such a standout, even Tiffany would take notice.

Ahh… to boldly brand where no brand has gone before… Whatever happened to their intention to use AI to analyze characteristics and develop a “brand”? A true intelligence might reveal the error they’re making. But I suppose they’re too far gone to retrace their original idea and the opportunity they missed weeks ago to develop a useable product of potential interactive progressive personal development evaluations.

We may abbreviate that as “p.i.p.p.d.e”, to be pronounced “pip-i-dee”. For those willing to “do dat”, the slogan might become “pip-i-dee do dat”, since B&T like catchy slogans. Whether it can be done in the BATUBS remains to be seen.

    “Wants to change.”

    Key statement.

That pretty much eliminates a number of characters in the Strip.

    Even most of the guys.

Honestly? Judging by her expression, the next “victim-client” just might be Tiffany as some fans have suggested. ;-)

They’re looking at this the wrong way. What does the before video reveal about Luann? Her positivity! So she could become Miss Positivity, the Turn-that-Frown-Upside-Down Gal. On the other hand, they could use the video to promote their idea: ‘Are you content to be full of potential? Or would you like to stand out from the crowd and really Be Someone?’

    Here’s a depressing thought.

This whole idiotic arc started back on March 25th with Toxic Bets and Tiff in a room. Tiff just finished a 6 hour shift a Kafe Kablooie and it looks like it’s dusk out and Tiff is “gonna go sleep for 15 hours” and they have an 8 AM math class.

Tiff has her uniform on and Toxic Bets a red tank top

Through out week 2, they’re plotting their wealth (Math class forgotten), attire unchanged and little had changed throughout week 3. Racing along with the blazing speed of a herd of turtles.

Week 4 (April 15th), enter Luann in a black square neck top. Somehow Toxic Bets has changed into a purplish button down top

Week 5 (April 22nd), while still talking up Luann, Luann now has on a charcoal top and Toxic Bets an orange button down top

Week 6 (April 29th) it now appears to be morning, 8 AM math class forgotten, sleep forgotten and Tiff is finally out of her K2 uniform and wearing a purple top and Toxic Bets in a black 3/4 sleeve tee shirt.

Look like Tiffany just had an idea that can really start their business and give them a good grade. Let’s see if it works or, more importantly, if Luann will like it and actually use it. Because the success of this project lies entirely in the satisfaction of the costumer. I’m still hoping Dez will come along and tells them what she thinks of their project.

PLEASE!!! Somebody tell Karen that she is not funny or clever, just boring and repetitive. It’s like she thinks she’s so funny she can’t let go of a stupid concept or end it when it starts getting annoying. There is a point where each story should end and this one should have been finished when they left Luann’s house. I can picture her chuckling to herself at all of these stupid interactions between Bets and Tiff and thinking her “ad slogans” are so cute and inspired that people will love them. She needs to learn where the cut-off point is and stick to it. Karen Evans is ruining this comic with her boring storylines and inane dialogues.

I am feeling a bit frustrated now.

I HAD thought this arc would have concluded this past Saturday…. and at that time, even though it was NOT a favorite arc….. I felt good about the idea that Luann remained true to herself and was not bamboozled by “Batubs”.

Then, come Monday, and the arc continues….. I was (incorrectly) presuming that AT LEAST the arc would now lay off of Luann. But….. NO. Unfortunately, the now, “non-dynamic duo” of “Batubs” is scheming again on new ways to “fix” Luann.

Bets and Tiffany as characters are both now QUITE insulting, IMO. I am not sure what G & K’s plan is here…. but…. to my manner of thinking…. they are coaxing us (at least ME) into thinking of both Bets and Tiffany as annoying on the level of Stephanie.

I am so done with people saying that I need to change. One says my fashion sense is drab, another says my clothes don’t fit right, someone else said that I needed to ‘dress my age’, ad nauseam. All my ‘fashion’ preferences have become ‘vouge’ at some point after the fact. I don’t sweat it anymore.

When my hand heals I’m going to sew myself some fun bright coloured clothes and enjoy myself for once.

As for dressing my age? The Sunday following the comment, I, in my 40’s, wore a tweed skirt suit to Church and my girlfriends all gushed that I looked “so cute!” I wanted to “Look my age” and wasn’t able to enjoy the compliments because I let that woman get in my head. :((

So the creators of this comic obviously feel that it’s okay for certain people who feel they are superior, to “label” other people that they consider inferior. Otherwise, they would have never published this “branding” scenario and the (really messed up) conversations between these two (used to be) nice girls who have now become crass, judgmental bimbos.

It’s just another example of how they can’t maintain any consistency with their characters.
