Good initiative, Shannon! Get those donuts!!

Who knows? We may find out she’s a better driver than Luann. ;)

    .

So wouldn’t they just use an App and have some donuts delivered?

See, this is what needs to happen within our current political system: at some point, somebody in the room has to grow up and act like an adult. In this case, it shouldn’t be Shannon.

Aunt Luann has some learning to do. Shannon probably learned from watching Toni before getting bored during their outing.

Shannon: “Which way is the store?”

In some rural states the reply would be “Well, you go south until you hit Hicks road, then you….”.

(BTW… My mom grew up on a dairy ranch and learned to drive on her own at 12 years old behind the wheel of an old model T truck. My great uncle sent her out in a big empty cow field where there was nothing to hit.) ;-)

    Shannon as an adult:

Supervisor: Please have this report ready by 3:00 today.

Shannon: No, I won’t! Why do I have to??

Doctor or dietitian: You need to eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to prevent heart disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes, etc.

Shannon: No, I don’t! I want ice cream. NOW!

Guy she likes: I’m sorry, but I can’t go out with you. I’m married (or in a relationship).

Shannon: I don’t care! I want you and I want you NOW!!

Bank or credit card company: You need to pay your bill by (fill in date) or we will add on charges.

Shannon: I’m not gonna do it because I don’t hafta!

Sounds like an exaggeration (ridiculous even), but this is what people will have to deal with if Shannon’s behavior is not corrected NOW. Like somebody once said, you (the parent) have to be willing to be unpopular with your kid so that s/he can be popular with others.

Shannon’s followin Luann’s instructions to th letter. Good on you Shannon

    Boy O Boy!

Luann? You should THANK your Lucky Stars that Shannon did not know the way to Krispy Kreme!

Else, she would have driven HERSELF “to the store” and ended up taking out four mailboxes, three French Cars, Two Rose Bushes, and Les’ cat stuck in a pear tree!

Besides, don’t ya’ll have Door Dash in the quaint little Town of Pitts? And Where’s “Helpful” Bernice? Did she escape??

And on a “Health Note,” may I suggest that Sugar is the LAST thing the little Storm Trooper “needs.” ;-)

I love how Luann and Shannon interact. Luann knows how to talk to her without treating her like a child, but still using great sweetness. She explains her how things are, why they can’t have a donut and Shannon understand. In this she’s very similar to Brad, but she’s still more capable and not only thanks to the train she had in her work at the kindergarten. Then, the fact that Shannon’s reactions are unpredictable and leave her speechless is hilarious. This may have happened before Bernice arrived.

This is really cute but it would be more effective to tell Shannon that you get doughnuts when you’re finished your homework and you can’t do your homework and talk. The sooner you get it done the sooner you can get your donuts.

Greg must love that 1940s clip art! d;o)

Today’s omitted title panel is three ladies who look like they’re from the 1940s, holding a sign that says “Luann,” while a fourth lady to the right has a circle that says “By Greg Evans” over her right shoulder.
