When a rock says fall, does he mean autumn or avalanche?

“Pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall.

This is the only reference that comes to mind, and is from Proverbs 16:18.

So the little flower is guilty of one of the Seven Deadly Sins…

I never thought Flower Power and Rock went together!

Ha. Rock can be sculpted into beautiful sculptures and remains beautiful for centuries unlike you vain little flower soon to withers away.

I would rather to have skip summer altogether. Spring, fall, winter would be ideal.

Reminds me of the classic book The Little Prince.

Wait till the flower’s roots and/or ice break up the rock. The rock might say “That cracks me up.”

Nobody takes their kids to the pond to skip flowers across the water.

Without the seasonal flower, rock would have nothing to anticipate and to grouse about. Keeps things in balance.

The flower is getting it’s 15 minutes of fame before burning out, while the rock is steadfast in its existence.

Anthropomorphizing now, it must be wondrous to sit for eons watching life around you come and go, life always changing, always temporal, but always persisting. As a rock you’re minutely wearing away, over tens of thousands of years, into the soil feeding the life around you. Purpose.

I swear I’ve seen this very identical strip before.
