If you are lucky, it is a spider that can’t crawl out of the bathtub, because those are easy to kill or capture.

40ish years ago I shaved off 1/2 my mustache. I had to tell the wife before she noticed. Still married after 42 years.

Earl might just as well get rid of the other spider or rest of that spider under his nose.

Scream like that when Earl is dragging a razor across his face, and you might also see blood in the sink.

If what she saw was gray, it was probably some of Earl’s hair. And if it was some other color, it was probably just one of Muffin’s hairballs.

Did that once many years ago with an electric shaver. Shaved it all off and it grew back.

Now he has a choice, Either shave the rest or go ‘half-stashed’ until it evens out again.

Spiders. Meh. In my family, it’s mainly the men who are afraid of them! The women just scoop the critters up in a jar & carry them outside where they belong.

I played for an outdoor wedding a few years ago. After the wedding, as the guests were eating, the woman behind me let out a huge SCREAM and tossed her plate of food up in the air. She’d seen a daddy-long-legs . . . .

Something similar happened to me. About 6AM, I heard this blood curdling scream from the bathroom “There’s a HUGE spider in here”. Got up 1/2 asleep and killed it with a toilet brush. It wasn’t a spider, but a big cricket. Turns out, it was Jiminy Cricket. Now I can’t do anything Disney anymore.

That shrieking trait of SOME women is a learned one from their shrieking mothers. My wife is not afraid of spiders or other insects or snakes. She respects them and takes them outside. With the snakes she has me identify them first, as in Florida we do have some poisonous ones. We allow all the Wolf spiders to remain in the houses, as they do a great job of taking care of other insects.

that’s why I always close the bathroom door when shaving. years ago while shaving a cat was in the bathroom and jumped up on the sink, bleeding followed (mine) and everyone and everything is now locked out when shaving

I bobbled my trimmer and cut a nice parallel across mustache and figured I’d shave it off and start again. Freaked my wife out and she wouldn’t kiss me until it grew back in.

I absolutely do not understand the concept of finding a little spider, screeching for attention, and expecting someone to respond to the hysterics and come to save you. My state really doesn’t have many venomous spiders. I know them if I see them. If one did show up, I would deal with it. Generally, I just ignore spiders. They eat other insects.

My son came home from school one day and said, “Dad, I learned in school today that a person is never more that 8 foot from a spider.” That’s one bit of info I wished he’d kept to himself.
